What was the comedy sketch show that featured a welsh character 'Shadrach' who talked about his girlfriend 'Gravel' or 'Gra-Velle' as he called her? It's been driving me nuts. Thanks

I think the guy you're talking about is John Sparkes. Was the programme called Naked Video?

It was Naked Video and the character was Shiadwel played by John Sparkes - a much missed character

Shiadwell was a poet and had a pen name....Biro :o)

"Siadwell is the name of a character from the 1980s BBC sketch show Naked Video. Siadwell was a Welsh poet who was featured sitting in his bedsit wearing an anorak and thick-rimmed glasses. He would appear every week, greeting viewers with the line "Hello, it's me Siadwell ", and would then proceed to inform viewers what he had been up to since last week. The character was played by actor John Sparkes, and was apparently based on Rik Mayall's character Kevin Turvey."
