Easy for them to get messy, after cooking but is there an easy way to keep it clean ?
What are the best products to use ?

I'm sure there must be some inexpensive tips out there. TIA.

I hope there are some useful tips, I spend more time cleaning mine then cooking on it. Before I bought it I asked a couple of friends how good they were and on their recommendation bought it. When I complained to them how hard it was to keep clean, they both said, yeah, we found that too.!!
I don't have any trouble at all cleaning mine - I don't use any products, I just wipe it down with a cloth or paper towel after use (Note: Mine is a single portable hob).
P.S. ... it's an induction hub, if that makes any difference ?
I just found Astonish £1 grease cleaner - absolutely great. Believe me I have tried everything else
Invest in one of these to get at burnt on stuff.

and use a ceramic cleaner everyday as it cleans and leaves a slight coating so foods if they boil over don't stick as badly
I use Hob Brite £1.50. Brings it back up with a nice shine.
I have an induction hob and use Astonish, cheap and effective.
I just use a quick spray of whatever household cleaner I have to hand and give it a wipe over every time I use it. Occasionally I use one of those hob scrapers, not very often though.
I fail to understand how they're hard to keep clean....?!?
Try keeping an Aga Clean :-(
I have often wondered how people keeps an Aga's oven clean. it must be a nightmare. Yugh ! Oven cleaning. The worst household chore.
Maybe I'm a slattern but I really don't know what is so difficult about cleaning an AGA!
I wash mine with a washing up sponge, hot water and Fairy liquid after every use and then dry it with kitchen towel. I've never had a problem with it. I think they're really easy to keep clean.
Naomi -yes if you keep on top of them ceramic hobs are very easy to keep clean.
I am just commenting Eccles. I have never had an Aga, probably never will have, but with oven being so low it must be hard on the knees. But they do look beautiful and I bet they are fun to cook with.
