Can anyone tell me, just what is the allure of cannabis?
Its horrible stuff. Smoked it a few times (probably less than half a dozen) when I was younger....experimental and all that... but it never did anything to write home about.
Last night I had a couple of friends around (one of whom smokes it occasionally) and succumed and had a joint, Bearing in mind that I havnt even smoked in 6 months I was feeling a little miffed over a personal issue and partook of the illegal substance. God I wished I hadnt!
First of all (after my mates had left) I got the munchies and my diet went down the pan as the bacon went into it.
Over an hour later, I tried to concentrate on a tv prog only to forget what went on before a few seconds earlier.
I then went to bed and tried to 'chill' while listening to the radio...except that the radio was talking to me. (that was a weird feeling)
Just what is the thing with weed....its bloody horrible stuff.
Nothing against it, just not for me.

I've never tried any sort of recreational drugs. I like to be in control of my mind too much, and your experience sounds too scarey for me nailit.
I have heard that cannabis helps those with certain painful ailments in which case I wouldn't disagree with them taking it from a medicinal point of view. But if it is addictive is it worth it?
I feel sure we can disagree without rude name calling.

My favourite method of ingesting cannabis was baked in Brownies.

Divebuddy...I used to work in a psychiatric hospital. There were plenty of patients with 'drug induced psychosis' mostly skunk.

I think you have to be of a completely sound mind to cope with it.
Perhaps it makes sitting in a wet field and listening to loud pop music seem worthwhile somehow nailit !
I enjoyed a bit of smoke in my younger years... (I'm not advocating it here) however I really enjoyed myself... and loved the heighten sense it gave me.
I was in a few bands at the time which got me addicted to nicotine... however I blame no-one. My younger Bro, went to the hard stuff and still not quite the same. (He's fine-ish) but think that's what made me stop over fifteen years ago. I've had a toak since, but nah... it holds no appeal anymore.
I agree with you there Methyl.
jno.....LOL at 19:58 !

Never smelt it at Glyndebourne though...well, not yet anyway !
