Hi folks, I would be grateful if someone could possibly ID a tree for us, please. We think it could be some kind of willow - it's only a young tree, but it's quite bendy and the leaves are quite long and thin. However, I don't know how to attach a photo to this post. Would be grateful for help on both matters. Thanks a mill, Chox.

First thing is to put the piccy on 'Tinypic' then you can upload it to AB

Hi baldric, please forgive my ignorance - what's "tinypic" is it something like instagram?

Chox.
There are many but just for starters, check out 'willow leaved pear (pyrus salisifolia)
Good luck with the pic.

thanks for your help, folks. We're still mithering about this tree, but seem to have a bit of a start with the ID. Chichopper - do you mean Pyrus Salicifolia (willow-leaved pear) ... can't seem to find anything online about P.Salisfolia ... At least the tree isn't planted in the ground yet. If this is the willow-leaved pear, I might give the RHS a call and see if they can help. However, we still don't particularly want the roots of this tree so near our property .... might ask our local area councillor. Cheers, Chox.
Yes, that's the one I meant Chockki.
I often spell the Latin names wrong. Still could use a piccy though.
