What can we do on a budget?

hi all, my fiance and I are saving for a flat and currently live with his parents, but its driving me nuts as we never have any alone time. We just end up stuck in front of the tv or computer every night. Does any one have any ideas on what we can do in the evenings and weekends that will get us out of the house and is either cheap or free? It would be nice to do something where we can make new friends too.

Thought about camping weekends? Now that the weather is getting better it can be a wonderful way to get away from his parents for a couple of days very cheaply.

Walking, jogging, swimming, are free/cheap and make you feel on top of the world after.

What about gardening? Going to museums, going round car boots, all depends where your interests lie but there's loads to do out there and loads to discover...

Had this problem myself and and me and missus had a period where we felt really boxed in - especially when you have tasted freedom and had to move back in with the parents.

My advice is to work harder to get yourself out as quick as poss and make the best of the good weather and go for plenty of walks in the sunshine to release some of that pent up anxiety.

We were living with the parents during winter for 3 months and it was nearly the end of our relationship because we were skint due to saving up for a house.

Work work and work harder and it will all be worth it!!!

Art galleries and museums are usually free and you don't have to be 'arty' or academic, they can be a real good laugh.
