PC bottleneck when re-drawing graphics...HELP!!!!
3 Answers
I recently built a new PC, spec as below. Generally it runs really fast, but I often have to export graphics from CorelDraw, into Photoshop and then trace in CorelTrace before importing back into CorelDraw.
When I import back into CorelDraw the graphic can contain 10's thousands of items and when I ungroup them the PC often comes to a standstill. I know it's not stopped, it just seems to takes absolutely ages to ungroup.
Am I expecting too much from the system? Could my graphics card be the problem? I've tried playing with the scartch settings in Corel to no avail.
I'd appreciate any advice anyone can give me.
Many thanks in advance!

If Corel is Ungrouping 10s of thousands of items, I would imagine that comes down to 100s of thousands of calculations. More ram and a faster processor would be my bet to improve things, but there are some jobs that just take a helluva time!
