vauxhall astra problem

on the center consol obove the radio there is a display it does time date and outside temp, now for some reason when i turn the radio off and remove the ignition key ,the time and temp lcd stays on...

Nissan Primera CD Player

I'm borrowing a family member's Nissan Primera this week, but I can't get the CD player to work. Whenever I load a CD the display reads "disc error" and it switches back to radio. What's wrong?
