iPod help...

Iv got an ipod Nano.... can u put films on them????? I mainly use it for the gym and jogging but im going on holiday soon and would like to take summit like that to entertain me and others.....

Right... just downloaded a film (which, by my standards is pretty impressive!!) but now, it wont play on VLC, Windows Media, Realplayer, Vuze or Divx..... Why and any suggestions as its driving me...
