Hope this is the right place for this. If it takes approximately 8 minutes for the light from the sun to reach us and I am watching the sun set, did the sun actually set 8 minutes ago?

do they ever advertise before the episode that the contestant has won the 250,000? I remember they would do that with who wants to be a millionaire but I wondered if they did it with deal or no deal
