What were these sweets called

Going back to the 1960's they were around quarter of inch thick, 2 inches long, soft brown. They came back in the 80's but were alot smaller

Grease on a wooden table

An old oak table not varnished, usually I use some Cillit Bang on oil stains and just scrub, but this mark won't shift. Did I hear somewhere about blotting paper and a hot iron? Is this for wood?
