How can i cut a video file in two

I download a lot of movies from Kazaa but more than often the files are too big to go onto 1 cd. how can I split the file...and if i can..how can i split it at the point i want the first half to end...

Does Kazaaa still work??

Has anyone else noticed if Kazaa is still working, as I've noticed that the search box is now greyed out, I've tried uninstalling and then re-installing it, but it's still the same :-(
