Reg.no. & Chassy No. do not exsist !!

Trying to insure my Car X5. got stuck at the secutity devive q's..So I phoned the nearest BMW garage to ask them & my car does not exsist. Any reason for this ??

Car is an import !!!

Have found out my car is an import from NL. Should the dealer have told me this on purchase. Will this affect anything. I know the warranty is shorter because of this.
