how can I get my cat to recognise her name?

I got my cats when they were 7 months old, and decided to rename them (i couldn't bare to call them the names their previous owner had chosen). But I dont think they've ever reacted to the new names...

Cats home alone

My two cats are home alone most days. Do you know if having the radio on makes them happier? Or do they not mind the silence?
