Why Are Certain Abers Allowed To Highjack Certain Threads?

Today I had the need to ask the Editor to remove a perfectly reasonable thread appertaining to the recent riot taking place on a street in London.

From the off set this thread was high-jacked by certain members who obviously have taken a dislike to not only me personally, but also to the threads that I place on the news section of answerbank.

I did report one of the offenders, but no action against him was taken

The ED or someone else was good enough to remove the thread, but did not take the opportunity to chastise the offending members.

AOG....no! no! no!...you have got it all wrong.......the Ed isn't interested and neither was the one before. I suggested many years ago when AB was again in turmoil, but for different reasons that certain ABers should be banned.....just my opinion. So what happened, the Ed banned the "characters" and made 2or 3 of the "troublemakers" Moderators. Well that...

How long before he asks for this thread to be pulled?
5.....4......3.....
But, AOG, it's rude!
AOG's own words from a recent thread......'Why can't you just join in a debate without the need to be personally obnoxious?'

And now he's had his own post removed. You couldn't make it up.

Me backed into a corner? don't flatter yourself.

I requested that my thread be removed, because the "likes of you" refused to address the street riot, but decided to take the childish opportunity of attacking the messenger, just like you always do.
ohhh for a block a member button!!!
I attacked your use of English and I challenged you to explain what you meant by 'certain' ethnic groups which you ignored. People become irritated when their attempts to clarify the OPs meaning don't get an answer.

Just read the silly chatter, anyone would be right in believing that this is ChatterBank, instead of Editor's Blogs.
Bernie...what a good idea.....within 30 mins AB would be void of posts....empty...blank....closed down.
There is and always will be somebody who doesn't like someone, for some reason.
That is life.
I can't comment on what I have missed obviously but threads do get derailed as we know - wildly at times.

Only yesterday one on a serious topic (a crime) was halted while someone thought to examine my mode of reply.

A sort of character analysis - interesting but way off the topic.

It's the nature of a forum.

exactly sqad i'd have no one to talk too :-)
Stop posting then AOG.
ANOTHEOLDGIT, your continued use of the phrase, "the likes of you" is condescending.
If AB no longer suits you I suggest you try Mumsnet AOG, if you get out alive after the first day I'll buy you a pint and a packet of pork scratchings.

You were the main instigator and well you know it, and followed by your usual crew, who did not want to address the riots, but where more interested in the use of plurals or the colour of the skin of the rioters.

I will hold my hands up to mentioning the colour or the rioters ... my bad
eeek!
We all know that AOGs term 'certain ethnic' was the first mention of colour but he won't admit it as that would be a Wizard of Oz moment.
Don't you start, Talbot!!!
