Today I had the need to ask the Editor to remove a perfectly reasonable thread appertaining to the recent riot taking place on a street in London.
From the off set this thread was high-jacked by certain members who obviously have taken a dislike to not only me personally, but also to the threads that I place on the news section of answerbank.
I did report one of the offenders, but no action against him was taken
The ED or someone else was good enough to remove the thread, but did not take the opportunity to chastise the offending members.
AOG....no! no! no!...you have got it all wrong.......the Ed isn't interested and neither was the one before. I suggested many years ago when AB was again in turmoil, but for different reasons that certain ABers should be banned.....just my opinion. So what happened, the Ed banned the "characters" and made 2or 3 of the "troublemakers" Moderators. Well that...
My reply was in response to you complaining about people posting silly comments, as well you know. To think that you can spin this and shout for teacher again in a 'look miss, look miss Zacs has said something naughty' way, is more than a little insulting to the Ed's intelligence.
You said "certain ethnic minorities" not all of them or some but "certain" minorities. That IS identifying particular groups but you refused to elaborate. You were on dodgy ground but rather than try to argue the point, you got in a strop and asked that the thread be removed.
By the way, if you insist on using "one" as in "one learns not to direct your criticisms" the "your" should be "one's" One wouldn't want folk to think one was pretentious, would one?
Some contibutors to the (mainly) News Section take a perfectly valid story but spin/address it in such a way as to provoke a certain sort of response. AOG is particularly adept at this. He then revels in being able to run hither and yon declaring to all just how ill-used he is.....and is not above sucking his own bruises to emphasise the point.
"much better for it to encompass all peoples of the community. " why did you refer to "certain" ethnic minorities and communities? Your argument is falling apart around you.
Jack, I once replied to his thread about if you knew your son/father had raped someone, would you report them to the police.
I said yes and then was accused of being sexist fgs !!

Nothing wrong with that as in my opinion it is a valid approach to debate...e.g
"Should condoms be sold in the street?"
" Demand feeding an baby facilities"
Let me educate you once again, 'ETHNICS' come in all shades of skin colour even white, which incidentally along with black are not really colours, but still?
Zacs......you have made your point. How about "closing out?"
Nothing much more to be gained and the "Crew" comments are childish and have become boring.
just a suggestion.
My view for what little it is worth is that if you start a thread about a serious topic, speak in clear terms and be prepared to explain exactly who and what you are referring to.
