Why Are Certain Abers Allowed To Highjack Certain Threads?

Today I had the need to ask the Editor to remove a perfectly reasonable thread appertaining to the recent riot taking place on a street in London.

From the off set this thread was high-jacked by certain members who obviously have taken a dislike to not only me personally, but also to the threads that I place on the news section of answerbank.

I did report one of the offenders, but no action against him was taken

The ED or someone else was good enough to remove the thread, but did not take the opportunity to chastise the offending members.

AOG....no! no! no!...you have got it all wrong.......the Ed isn't interested and neither was the one before. I suggested many years ago when AB was again in turmoil, but for different reasons that certain ABers should be banned.....just my opinion. So what happened, the Ed banned the "characters" and made 2or 3 of the "troublemakers" Moderators. Well that...

Mumsnet Eccles?

That's cruel , you're not even safe there in full body armour.
I'll go back to my first post on this thread.
Is AOG ok? I mean, seriously, I know he's always been cantankerous but it's really getting out of hand now.

Debates on the News have turned into mud-slinging insults.

/// ANOTHEOLDGIT, you were the one who spoke of "certain ethnic minorities" and "certain communities" but refused to explain what you meant. You're the one who was more interested in the rioters' colour. ///

well I will explain to you since you did not join in Zacs-Master's initiation ceremony nonsense.

When one has been on this site as long as I have, one learns not to direct your criticisms at one particular group, for fear of offending, much better for it to encompass all peoples of the community.

And I also never mentioned the colour of the rioters, I mean I wouldn't want to be accused of stereotyping now would I?
if AOG stopped posting you'd have no one to argue or have a go at!
I thought I'd just make a suggestion, after all AOG does enjoy robust debate :-D

1) AOG is correct

2) In the event AOG is incorrect, please refef to Rule 1.
I share your view Alba.
Sounds like he'd be very well suited to Mumsnet then, Balders.

/// How long before he asks for this thread to be pulled? ///

Not on your Nellie, Why do you think I placed this in Editor's Blog, if the Ed hasn't commented yet, at least one of the Mod's has, noticing the removed answer.
For 'one particular group' read 'anyone who disagrees with me'.
A mod hasn't commented, they've removed your insulting post which is highly ironic in view of your current position on name calling / insults.
Wow, some angry abers about today :-)
Zac im not sticking up for AOG but your no better than him!
Anyone who disagrees becomes 'the likes of you'
Oh, and you've put this in Ed's blog because it's the equivalent of little Timmy running to the teacher screaming of bullying.
Bernie, do you realise you just had a go at me? Joining my 'crew' eh! Welcome aboard me harty. Now just get in that barrel over there and I'll,go,find the Jellied eels.
Anne, I think there is one angry poster and several frustrated ones.
Why have you posted this, AOG? If you believe the ABEd is treating you unfairly you should send her an email, not criticise her publicly.

not having a go at all zac your just as bad as AOG thats all im saying :-}

/// Stop posting then AOG. ///

Yet one more thing for the Ed to see.

A prefect example why AnswerBank is deteriorating, a certain aggressive ABer telling those he disagrees with, to stop posting.
