Perhaps the right time to do a poll on how we would vote? Personally I dont think canvassing or csmpsigns will make any difference. We are all pretty sure of our intentions!

//Actually the "winter of discontent" was quite fun. //

Yes indeed. How they all laughed at the piles of uncollected stinking rubbish in the streets - and even more at the unburied dead bodies. Such fun!
Naomi - you're talking rubbish as usual. I was living in a large city at the time and there were no stinking piles of rubbish or unburied bodies. Please tell it as it was.
Take a breath - and do your homework, diddly .... do.
n. I don't recall any uncollected "stinking" rubbish - I think the left-wing press made the most of it & any unburied bodies would be refrigerated in morgues.
There were small inconveniences, but being without television and eating & talking by candle-light for a few hours, actually was enjoyable.
Khandro, you're another one with a short memory.
Khando, //I don't recall any uncollected "stinking" rubbish//
Check the photos in my link.
Vote Tory - and you'll get the privatisation of the NHS. They've privatised everything else. Only the NHS remains.
Vote Tory - and you'll get a PM who can't deliver on his promises.
Vote Tory - and you'll get a PM who presumes everything and delivers nothing.

I agree with Khandro. There was no rubbish lying round the streets here in North Manchester either. The media did everything they could to help secure a victory for the Tories in the coming election. And when they got in power? Remember the ad campaign? Labour isn't working? 1m unemployed? Within 3 years of Twatchers first term, the unemployment figures were up to 3m and the Tories were massively behind in the opinion polls. Only the Falklands Factor saved them. What a joke! Kill a few Argies; save a few thousand sheep and get yourself re-elected.
10cs, There was plenty of rubbish piled high in the streets of Bradford and Leeds.Maybe you should check the photos in my link.
Goodness me - 2 other sensible people on this single page! Makes a change from the army of right-wing Brexiteers.
Danny, you don't believe those photos to be real do you? They've been photo-shopped. The first one, top left, has the same building in the background as the photo 4th down in the right hand column. A grid cover has appeared in the 4th one down that isn't there in the top left hand one. And all the "rubbish" is different in both photos.
diddly, nothing to do with Brexiteers. More to do with people like you with selective memories.
//There was no rubbish lying round the streets here in North Manchester either. //

North Manchester was lucky then because there was elsewhere.
10cs. In that Winter of discontent I was walking a beat and I did not imagine the piles of rubbish I had to negotiate.
Where, Naomi? Don't put a link on, like Danny did, because those pics have been photo-shopped.
google //the winter of discontent uncollected rubbish images//

All photoshopped? Right....
Danny, your link makes your statement less credible. Naughty naughty for a former police officer, sarge!
Look at them closely, Naomi.
