Unsure how this got on to the 'Winter of Discontent' but, in fairness, the horror stories were in the newspapers and on the TV, not locally anywhere I was. I think it may have been localised in some areas. Not an ideal time though, both workers and management, not to mention government, ought not have let a dispute get that far. Who did they think they were, EU elites ?
