Question For The Eds
56 Answers
You said some mods will now explain their actions and have given them 'secret' names in order that they may do that whilst retaining their anonymity, but if the request is removed (as happened a few minutes ago) how are they meant to know that an explanation is required?

Sorry, I don't see how they are connected. We are asking for donations, we're not abandoning the Site Rules.

Firstly, thank you for the reply.
No one is asking you to abandon Site Rules. I personally would like to see them enforced in a stricter manner. We’re (or at least a few of us) are asking for more consistency in moderation and a little transparency as to why threads are closed. The thread which was closed was no worse, and much less confrontational, than some which remain, so the reason it was closed is baffling.
If rules are applied in a consistent manner, no one can justifiably complain. They remain members on here in the full knowledge that breaking rules will result in threads being closed or deleted, suspension or outright banning if they are repeat offenders.
Unfortunately, you, as Editors and or owners would face a potential dilemma should the offenders also be donators. Or at least there’s the perception that it could.

//I've not actually been through the entire inbox yet. Please could you report the thread in question and I will look into it.
The "Close This Thread" button is often pressed by mistake. It's in a poor position on mobile, when moderators are using a mobile device, it can often be pressed by accident.//
Off-topic so apologies but I’m hoping Vlad doesn’t have the same software?

It can be problematic for moderators who use a mobile and who are right-handed: https:/ /ibb.co /Jp2VFP G

11.52 Zac. Why would the owners / EDs have a dilemma? The donations are voluntary they don't purchase the given right to avoid any Site Rules or divert them to one's own satisfaction.
The donation scheme should not be used in the form of a crowbar to divert AB to a different path or to change in favor of that donator.
