hello all. We went out in thick fog this morning then came home and flaked out. More furniture moving today...I was lowering a wardrobe frame (canvas wardrobe) downstairs on a rope yesterday....I might have let the rope go slack and smashed it up a bit.....heigh ho.....
Question Author
Blooming heck woofy, you take care!
Neti its the safest way to get things downstair on my own....dogs are shut away...I am above the item and the weight iof it is taken by a turn of rope around the bannister....its all fine....till it isn't lol.
Question Author
Trust me woofy I know and I do these things, It actually frightens me when I realise that I am on the highest rung of the swimming pool ladder in the bedroom balancing and reaching and dragging plastic bags full of clothes, shoes etc. I've only got to misplace a foot and I'm a gonna, but it's the only way to get these things done in this house.

Yup you just have to get on and do stuff sometimes. I have my precaution rules though. Things like making sure the dogs are out of the way first, I don't do ladders apart from the loft ladder, only a little two step thing. I always have my mobile phone in my pocket when i do exciting things so I can phone for the ambulance lol.

The most dangerous thing in our house is the walking down the land to the gate on tiny stones, as they slide from under, I damaged an ankle years ago by wearing platforms and rushing to shut the gate and over I went, foot was blue for weeks, but I had had a drinkiepoo so it didn't hurt at the time.
Very good Neti .
It turned out lovely here so I had a toddle to the High Street and I still forgot to look for the name of that shop for you Woofy .I'll look next time .
I was too concerned about face cream and crochet hooks ..lol.
I used to pull and drag about .I was always moving the furniture around but these days I have enough to do with dragging myself from A to B.
I have been out into the wide world... bought a pair of specs from Specsavers for £25 (they are making them up, ready tomorrow), a box of matches, a nice £1 gel pen from Muji and sandwiches from Pret, but I forgot the lip salve.

That seems to be my day so far.
