same here. Whenever I wake in the night my eyes ache and I can't get back to sleep. Hoping new glasses will fix this.

Good morning on this fine May Day. Am still in bed as it's a fiesta and not a lot to do. I sleep well at night, and the cat sleeps well too which is a relief. Hija sleeps well and is not rattling around the island but staying at home until the next disco do.

Good morning...white rabbits & all that jazz. My life isn't at all exciting but as long as I can do things for myself that'll do.
Dull and chilly, heavy rain forecast so no pottering for me today then. Just as well really, I'm tired and my eyes are sore, there's a lot of pollen in the air. I haven't seen any swifts etc yet but according to the local website they're in the area.

Can we have two minutes silence please....my warm, loyal, damson slippers have gone in the bin. (actually, I think they were about to throw themselves in) They have served me well for several months and it pains me to see them leave. However, I've removed the satin bow and blingy button from each one and they will be attached to the replacements, so their soles....sorry...souls will live on... Amen and out.

good morning all, its getting ready to rain here. A very wet foggy start to today so we didn't go out. Next step in the Grand Plan is bed delivery on sunday so a few days of pottering and frivolity before then....can you believe they are delivering on the sunday of a bank holiday weekend?

Decideds to clean the cocoker and to wash all the grids etc, luckily the dishwasher is outside cos the hose is leaking like billyo, I've tried tapeing it but it's a like fountain, so have turned it off. grrr.

Oh what a day .The boiler man was late .Mind you he did phone and then he found a hole in the wall at the back of the flue .No wonder it was making a rattling noise ! So it all had to be dismantled and then he had to repair the hole before he could service the boiler .Good job we're insured .
What a palaver .
He was very chatty and it turned out he has an uncle who used to work with Mr S .many moons ago when he was with Brown & Root here .He didn't think we were that old and said I only looked about 55 ....whoop ..
I think he was angling for a second cuppa and more biccies actually and he hasn't seen me first thing in the morning...lol
Snap Robinia ..I threw out my Marks slippers last week .They had seen better days .Perhaps they've joined soles with yours in slipper heaven ..haha.

Good morning, my last day of freedom, Mr N back at midnight, I rather like having the bed to myself! Hija is on a night out! Cat doing her crazy act at about 5am, I was chasing her round the house but she didnpt want to go out even though she was shouting!

Lovely day here ,bright and breezy but the wind is chilly .

Lucy only wagged her finger at me at the beginning Jno and I woke up just in time to see the end . I'll have to watch again on catch up .
Lol Robinia I've searched the house for Houblon fifty quid notes but I don't appear to have any ,just a pot full of shrapnel .

well, I wish she'd come her some nights and wag her finger and put me to sleep. She seems to be sounding more like Jonathan Woss these days but maybe it's my imagination. I like her, though, she always seems to be about to start giggling. (In fact I remember a programme where she did start giggling over something naughty, had to film it several times, and they left all the bits in, like the outtakes at the end of a Jackie Chan movie showing all the stunts that went wrong).

I forgot to say I finally caught up and watched The Artist .Lovely film .Really enjoyed it .
Yes Lucy's very bubbly and enthusiastic .I think she has a slight speech impediment but that only lends to her charm .She's far more interesting to watch then some of these dry as dust historians like David Starkey and I love her clothes :)
