We all had meccano as kids, I just screwed things together, but my bros made cranes and working things, amazing it was. One of my bros had a fort, and I love playing with it, it had lead soldiers and ambulance men with a little stretcher, I spent hours with it

Oh btw, I got rock all for Mother's Day ! :-(
I fed up, I've had one of those days when I just couldn't get warm. Don't want the heating on because of my stuffy head. I've just watched Goodbye Mr Chips, that's how fed up I is, lol.

When we were small the boy a couple of doors down had some great things, lots of Lego, Bettabuilder(sp?), meccano, a proper tent, soil areas where we could dig and make dens with planks and go cart thingies, we called them trolleys.
I totally fed up .We had a lovely dinner Quick and easy or so so I thought .
Cornish earlies ,asparagus and steak . As steak hit hot pan and fat it splattered up and I've got a burn on the inside of my wrist about two inches across and the skin has blistered off .
I soldiered on after running it under the cold tap and cooked and we ate but it's now burning like hell and am sitting here with a wet wipe wrapped round it .
Typical ..not a bandage to be seen here :)

Aaaw Neti ...have some flowers from me ..

Ooh, burns are so sore shaney. In the days when I cooked real dinners I caught or splattered myself so often I kept a burn-eze spray handy.

Lol jno, so you missed the week when they did burns at st. John's ambulance then?

ouch ouch Shaney. Robi, you sound a bit better. it has been cold today. I've got the heating on but have cut the first three roses out of the garden.

Good morning Woofy isn't rushing anywhere! gardening day today I think but Shughy was sick in the night and so we are having a quiet morning. I am sure its nothing serious as he ate his breakfast.
looks sunny again today... I might even try leaving my desk for a change.

I am having coffee on the seafront.
Hello all
It's a lovely sunny day here . Hope you all have nice weather .
Lol ..Jno .I really must get a few things together for when I have a medical disaster .All we've got is a box of plasters !
It is a nasty burn though and in the end I put one of Mr S's dry wipes smeared with Sudocrem on it and wrapped a hanky round secured with a safety pin .Nowhere open today to get proper dressings .
I'm so cack handed at times and fumbly fingered .
Thanks for the grapes Neti . I think I'll lay on the sofa and get Mr S to peel them for me ..lol.

Don't you have emergency chemists which are open on highdays and holidays, like on a rota thing, we do, don't have to use them very often but nice to know they are there.

Just done 3 loads of washing, normal stuff, then Mr N's lightish clothing and then Mr N's darkish clothing, no more room on the line, luckily I bought more white pegs last week, (white for whirlygig line on front patio, til we move it back to the side and black for the main line at the side.) Ran oout of room on sock hanger so improvised by pegs remaining socks onto a thin wire hanger, Oh how brill is that??
Absolutely wonderful Neti .The Queen of matching peggies ...lol.
Boots is open over on the trading estate but it's only accessible by car .
I dare say if I phone my bro he'll go for me but I don't want to trouble him .
I'll live .I've wrapped cling film round it for now .
Question Author
Aren't you supposed to let the air at it?
It's quite big and weeping ,all the skin has peeled away and it's red raw on the underside of my wrist where the skin is thin .I don't want it to get infected Mr S went to the High St and QD were open and he got me some dressings .
Question Author
Oh shaney that does sound bad.

Mr N took his van to be MOT'd today and it passed, then on the way back, the radiator exploded, so have had to collect him from the garage in the next village where they repair Renauld. Then we have to take him back at 7pm to collect the van. At least hija is doing the dinner.
