good morning, I was up early having blood tests, the place was heaving , I got there at 7.40 (opens at 8am) and I was number 20, then about 30 more turned up afer me! Rushed back to bed with a cuppa. Am treating myself to a meringue today yaay!!

Another lovely day, yesterday was ab fab, the downside was I did too much too early and was wiped out by 1pm. I'll pace myself a bit today.

Oh neti, have you been thinking about that all this time? It was one of those short legged, fast running ones, not too big but I didn't want to share the duvet with it. I keep tumblers and cards in easily accessible places around the house. Don't worry!
I'll go for my blood tests next week...maybe. We don't have to make appointments.

Now then decisions, decisions...what colour socks to wear with my sandals....?

good morning all. Another lovely day here. Rab was limping a bit last night so we stayed home this morning. He had a lot of shoulder trouble as a pup so i am extra careful. He will crash about chasing things and its easier to nip it in the bud than to have to keep him on a lead every time he steps into the garden. Its warm enough to have iced coffee instead of hot coffee for breakfast, lovely.
I've got a new icecream maker coming today. My old one died. I was really peeved till I worked out its about 20 years old, it must have been one of the first ones with a built in freezy bit. Also its wardrobe construction day today!!!!!

Sherlock Holmes still sounds interesting but apparently doesn't open for months yet, so this was an extremely early preview and there wasn't much to preview except a pipe Holmes might have smoked and a pistol Dr Watson might have carried if they'd ever existed. Breakfast was muffins and bacon rolls and orange juice etc so I made do with some kind of custard tart.

They do seem to think I am a group travel organiser, which I am not and have never been, nothing remotely like. No matter, they were impressed with our critiques of the Visitor Experience at the royal palaces and have been implementing some of our proposals. I should send my CV to Her Maj and request some kind of Royal Warrant for fake travel organisers. I will be sure to point out to her that I have a Best Answer on this thread as one of my accomplishments.

Hello, well seems like a good day all round. When I was having my blood taken very very early this morning, the nurse said I have lovely veins, perfect for bloodtaking (mmm - so I am apparenlty lumpy and veiny - not nice!!)

Actually sunbathed again and the front of me is a lovely colour, but can't get the rest done, how do people get an al over tan?? My tummy is like a brown ball.

Good morning, just done the yearly tax return for the 3 of us. I had to chase around three different banks to get dome papers that I had forgotten. But all sorted. We get money back!

Lovely day here. Am eating a meringue with my coffee.

just about all packed, we leave for Turkey about 6am tomorrow (groan) and will be scrambling round antiquities for a week, with breaks for Turkish meals, which I love. I will have to try to find some lira before we go.

Finally got the dining room carpet outside and scrubbed it, but I think it is too smelly. Some cat or other seems to have used one corner for a loo for quite a time, I could smell it for ages but just didn't think it was the carpet, I scrubbed all the furnite within cat reach. We like the room without it, so think I will bin it, maybe buy a new one for next winter. Room finally smells nice.
