I have a tank with 2 male and 5 female guppies..

all 5 females  have given birth over the last 3 months or so.. but it appears (so far) that all the babies are female.... could it be to do with water temperature? its currently 78-80 degrees

any suggestions?

I had a tank with quite a few guppies most of them were female, they seemed to constantly be pregnant, the babies were a pretty fair amount of both male and female, if i remember rightly i had the temperature set in the mid 80s, Not really sure if that would make much difference though.
Firstly, congrats on hearing the splashing of little fins.

78-80 is fine for guppies, any lower and you run the risk of the females aborting the babies due to chills.

One thing that i have found in the 25 years of breeding guppies, if you have a grey female, they usually give birth to grey babies which are mostly female.
If you have a yellow (blonde) female, the babies come out yellow and are mainly males.

I don't know if there is any real significance in this but it might be worth getting a different colour female.
