Sorry Ed to post here, its naughty I know but I can't think of another way to do it. I love the new skin on the orangedog forum, but I can't get past the first page and that took 3 attempts to load. I tried the memberlist or click on a name link to people's email but can't open them either

If I don't tell you, you will think that you have been deserted....

It was a dog chat forum that dragonrider, a dog person in the US, directed me to...then they tweaked the site and I lost access to it...the only way I could think of to tell them was via AB.

Bit serious here. some fool consultant yesterday told DH that his remaining kidney is permanently severely damaged. We think she is wrong. She was also quite dismissive of his existing consultants in whom (grammar lol) we have a lot of faith. I think its because they are private, although they do work for the NHS as well.
Now waiting to hear from the current lead consultant, a man of great common sense and experience. Anyone feel like threatening God on DH's behalf?
I'll have a go woofy, 'cos while I'm at it I'll have a word about the weather...hope everything is ok.
Oh dear Woofie ..it's nothing but aggro isn't it .Hopefully your chap will put your mind at rest .
They shouldn't be like that .Health professionals shouldn't be engaging in p§ssing contests .
I have to say that the team who work with the surgeon who saw Mr.S privately have every confidence in him NHS or private .The nurse we spoke to couldn't praise him enough .I hope hubby will be Ok .Try not to worry ,says she ,who only has a couple of fingernails left :))

What a lousy day it's been here .Rain, rain go away ! Come again sometime in October ,this is August :)
apparently it's a 'real feel' of 12C here, I can believe it...the good news is the potential for heavy snow is minimal for the next 6 hours...so that's alright then intit
Hi all, this is just to say I'm with you again. Actual dialogue a week ago as I returned the laptop to the cafe after it had been in for service and all my Bookmarks/Favourites had vanished:

Me: My Favourites are gone!
Internet Cafe Guy: ...?... Eh...? Nobody has ever wanted to keep their Favourites before.

I had thousands... gathered over several years... I feel like a librarian at Alexandria. But he - the cafe guy - has gone to the end of the world to try (to no avail) to restore the bookmarks so I can't be mad about it. He's always treated me so well, I was a customer there for years before I bought the laptop and he always gave me "a special price" (truly), free coffee, good chats... sigh, I still love him.

So, the laptop is back home again as of this evening but I haven't even begun to catch up on the old thread yet. Will get there by and by but to tell you the truth I'm not feeling too good. Still hot and humid here, maybe it's the humidity that's getting to me. I don't think I'll disappear completely again but there was an email from my broadband provider saying they'll be doing work in this area during August and September and there will be disruptions - so if I do disappear without a word...

Love your new avatars, particularly Shaney in the gentle sunlight<3 Wonder how you all have been - well I'll find out once I get around to reading the old thread won't I.

I'll have a word with Ceiling Cat, Woofy...
thousands of favourites? You're not exactly a one-man gal, are you? Wouldn't it be easier just to draw up a list of sites you *don't* like?

...Haivng said that, the idea that nobody would want to keep their favourites seems definitely counter-intuitive.
Welcome back Kit! You can have some of my cold weather with pleasure. I'd be sorry to lose my favourites, I've got a mere 391, but I've got over two & half thousand pics, eek! Better throw some in the bin.
don't panic Clive, the 2,000 I have of you won't be binned :o)
Hi swedie, welcome back.

I also lost all my favs and fotos, and am now busy transporting them via pendrive, which seems to works some of the time!!!
Hi Kit good to see you. Hope you are ok. I have had to have my computer man here today to see why Java wasn't working even thought it said it was installed. He sorted it out eventually. We've had rain all day on and off and I'm feeling cold tonight. Listening to some good music at the mo on Radio 2. Friday Night is Music Night. Reminds me of my Dad. You could go round on a Friday night and he would be sitting there in the dark listening to his music.

Talking about favourites ~ I'm a 'tidy upperer' I go through them every now and then and delete.

The flower on my avatar apparently is called Judith!
I've found some handbags called Robinia! (Fiorelli)
