Does anyone happen to know what kind of moth this is please, without my having to trawl through hundreds of pics?
here
It's not really vital that I find out, I'm just curious. Maybe it's something really common...and no, it didn't fly out of my purse. :o)

PS Wonder what watch Vinny wears http://i54.tinypic.com/2usuzns.jpg
Hi swedie, well if you could get a flight, there are one or two posh hotels open but that's it. Anyway we like it closed. The roads are a pleasure to drive on, empty!

My foot is now all fat again and a huge bump has popped up on the top, may have to go and get it sorted again!

I love hats, but never need to wear them, but I did buy a soft felt one with faux fur trimming, this visit to Eastbourne which looks like something out of the 1920's and I cannot wait to wear it, but yes lottie, I'll get all hot and itchy, then I'll get a flush and will look grotty in general! My back is apparently scabby but that's healing.
Why would I need a posh hotel Neti, won't I be staying with you...? He he... just kidding... it was just a hypothetical question for me to understand what it means that an island is closed. I know what you mean about tourists. I dreaded the ABBA museum as the building they originally had in mind is quite close to where I live, and before that, I dreaded the burial of Greta Garbo as they originally intended to let her final resting place be just a few blocks from here (she was born on this island, Södermalm). To my relief they decided on Skogskyrkogården instead, a cemetery that is in fact a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's huuuge and beautiful.

Beautiful piccies here too, in the header (it changes every few seconds) and an English version of the text http://www.skogskyrkogarden.se/en/
Lovely pictures Swedie.

I do feel really sorry for you. Poor little matchgirl out in the cold (Hans Christian Anderson). You must be so fed up with it all.

I have ordered the watch and told Mr LL it is my Christmas present. Only one left in stock so I hope the website is up to date and that one hasn't been sold. I have order a free gift box to go with it and told him I will give it to him to put away until Christmas!!
I will have to peep though when it arrives tomorrow!!

Shaney. It all sounds like a nightmare. Hopefully by the early spring you and I can go on a girls day out and let our hair down!!

Nite nite.

Love you all.
hadn't realised you were already under snow, Kit. Certainly puts the whimperers in sultry Derby into perspective. I am hoping for a warm winter but I have booked a trip to Sudan next month, just in case. Joanna Lumley went there so it must be good.
It's very early jno, we often don't get snow till January. Eek Lottie I don't wanna be da little matchgirl (but thanks xx), I wanna be Puss in Boots. Or Beauty and the Beast, oh I loved the Beast in Walter Crane's illustrations, I was devastated when he turned into a prince http://www.surlalunef...east/cranebeauty.html

Robi, correction, I shouldn't have said my eyes are blurry all the time, I meant to say it comes and goes all the time.

Okay possums I'm running late. Tell the maid I shall be in the library, she may serve me my coffee there.
We have snow already in Spain, not here though alas.

Well done with the watch Lottie, and a girls' night out in the spring, I'll be there!!!!!

Morning all and sundry!
I loved the ALEXANDER NEVSKY cemetery in St Petersburg

http://media-cdn.trip.../27/15/fd/borodin.jpg Heard of so many of them, makes a change!.
huh. looks like the usual dinner party boar, Kit

[play on words alert: boar/bore]

Beautiful and sunny here - I suppose that means if I poke my nose out of the door it will turn blue and fall off.

Morning ice queens and scabbies...3C here but at least it looks like being a dry, sunny day.
Oh Kit that's ridiculously cold...it's a bit late now but you could have looked for a house/pet sitting job for November, I expect Swedes go to the Maldives to be insulted sometimes? Parts of Derbyshire were cut off by snow a couple of days ago too I'll have you know jno...
That's exactly it re my eye btw, vaseline vision. It's no worse today, a bit better maybe, and no new dots or floaters so I'll see how it goes.
Lovely peaceful pictures.

Keep warm, I'd better go & bash some bloomers on a rock.

Oh btw, if you think we should move feel free to sort something amongst yourselves...and don't worry, I'll find you :o). Tarquin's unsure what happened to my email but he's got a super techie mate who might be able to shed some light & avoid it happening again. Hopefully I'll have a new address by the weekend.
He he, we can now play hide and seek with Robinia and talk about her behind her back until she finds us ;o).

Good morning all!!

I have to now get up and going - I have just admitted what a slob I am on another thread. Oh, the shame of it.

My watch is coming today!!!!
I have found a suitable new home and will email everybody! Robbie, are you a gambler by the way!! ;o)
I've been going since 6.30 .Bashed loads of bloomers on rocks, cleaned the bathroom ,fetched a paper .cooked a breakfast ,made the beds ,tidied up and I'm just having a cuppa before I trail up to the hospital pharmacy .
Those all look very peacful resting places and nicely kept unlike some of our overgrown churchyards .
Poor Kit I do feel sorry for you having to schlep about like that in the cold . I'm fed up with schlepping around but at least I can do it in my own home .The landlord should have made some provisions for all this upheaval .

Dry here today but cold and still very windy but hopefully I'll get all the washing dry .I have mountains of it day after day :)
Be good Biddys ..see you later ,keep warm .
You have all been mailed, New home awaits. We should have fun................. ;o)

Thanks for letting us in amongst the moth eaten clothes Robi.

Don't forget to gamble Robi!!
Morning Shaney. I am just about to get going. You have put me to shame!! XX
hello all blooming cold here. Shaney the receptionists at our previous doctors were a bunch of total lady dogs. The ones at our new surgeries (there are two in partnership) are one and all lovely people. They do make mistakes like misreading the time when they book the appointment but will always go the extra mile and are generally smiley. It makes such a difference. DH had a bit of a worrying night as he didn't drink enough yesterday. I can tell when there is a problem as he gets bad tempered (more than usual ha ha) anyway all well today :-) Once he's over his day in hospital and not sore I will have a little chat with him about eating and drinking when i want him to!!
Neti have you been kicking Hija again? Kit do be careful won't you?
Laters all
Are we leaving this old motheaten thread? yippee, thanks robi xx
Just flapping by to leave a pressie Robinia xxx
