Does anyone happen to know what kind of moth this is please, without my having to trawl through hundreds of pics?
here
It's not really vital that I find out, I'm just curious. Maybe it's something really common...and no, it didn't fly out of my purse. :o)

Grrr, I am doing battle with Thomsons holiday company as they have mislaid daughter's papers that she needs to sign on with, bearing in mind that she has worked for 8 yrs without claiming anything. They have 15 days to sign on after the contract ends and we've been waiting all this time and there's only 3 days left. Let me explain the dole system here, once you have worked 6 months you are entitled to a limited amount of dole money, as this island closes end Oct til beg May and there is no work. She worked in Barcelona for a long time and didn't manage to get the paro, when the job folded through someone's wheeling and dealing (eh Robi remember?) So I am determined she isn't going to miss out this time. They've just phoned, she's going to colelct them now!
Good morning all. Hope all goes well for all of you having troubling things to do today.. Hi Dolly you keep in touch, we're still going strong and you are welcome to pop in whenever and you don't have to tell us anything. You get well soon.
And you Robi, Wont the doc give you something for the dizziness. I think there's some tablet or other you can take. Anyway take care.
I'm off to Tai Chi now then the usual lunch and chat. I do think I'm a lucky biddy. I don't have much to go on about do I?
See yer later 'gater(s) x
Hi Lottie and Neti you nipped in while I was doing my post and also I had a phone call from my gardener. Not that he comes here any more - just a chat.
Mmmm. Methinks Jude's gardener has a definitely soft spot for our Jude!!
the weather's been quite mild here, though I see a lot of people nearer to the Arctic Circle than me are feeling wintry. I went to the big annual travel trade exhibtiion yesterday to look for ideas for places to go, and there were surprisingly few people there - well, thousands, but in the past it's been absolutely heaving and now it isn't. Sweden doesn't seem to be represented this year, though there's an Iraqi stand, and some slightly pessimistic-looking Yemenis.
Christmas presents

Now Mr and Master LL only give surprises so I can't give hints on what I would like for Christmas. I will get some Armani Code because they both know how much I like it, but I really like this watch. Shall I show it to Mr LL and just hope, or shall I buy it for myself.

Mild eh jno!!! You would just love it here - it's freezing, but sunny!!

Did you find anywhere exotic that you would like to visit? How about a nice cruise from Alaska. I know you love ice and snow?

Actually, I would love a cruise in icy waters, spotting icebergs, penguins and things. Other than that cruising has never appealed to me.
Oh lottie, I love that watch, well I'd buy it for myself otherwise they may not get the hint.

Damned windy here, blowing a (warm) gale!
Lovely, isn't it Neti. Perhaps after Christmas I will treat myself if hints don't get taken. I have decided to show it to Mr LL and say please very nicely!!

What I like about that watch is it is so simple and so easy to read the dial too. I just love it!!
That's just what I thought about it, I have to look for these things in watches nowadays. <it's an anytime watch, daytime or evening, mmmm nice!
"it's an anytime watch, daytime or evening,"

Goodness, do people have to have different watches for when it gets dark these days? How extravagant. Lottie, buy it for yourself and slip the bill into his Christmas stocking.

I went on a cruise up the Inside Passage (ooh-er, matron) once - it was fascinating; you could see icebergs breaking off from glaciers and drifting away Plus we stopped at Skagway, the Yukon gold rush town. No penguins or polar bears, though.

I is back. Only a quick clean required at the dentist thankfully.

Mild??!! Don't you start jno, it's bad enough with sweti spouting about her heat & sunlight. It's evil out there, the wind went straight through me vest it did, time to get the libby bodices on.

re the eye prob I'm glad I'm probably normal Lottie, I did panic a bit this morning. I'll just be careful for a few days, is it a good reason for not doing housework?
I love the watch...buy it for yourself & if Mr LL buys you another I'll give you £25 for one of them :o)

Yes Jude, I've got dizzy pills but I'd prefer not to need them.
Daughter back from paro office, all 's ok

Robi, remember the probs she had? well the good thing is she hasn't lost her "dole" money and is one of the very few here to be able to claim full amount, as she has worked without claiming. Relief, cos we can't afford to keep her all winter.

Overcast and chilly here, wind seems to have quitened down.
hello all, nice watch....sadly i have a squillion of them and can't justify another. Did manage to get a glitzy poppy on the RBL site this morning though..
DH is back and officially piddling again, now he has to retrain his bladder not to complain as if fills up.
I can still kip for england I think I must have hibernating ancestors
blooming cold grey and wet here...and we are as south as it gets before you have to swim to IOW or france!!
I could piddle for England thanks to my BP pills (Coaprovel)
jno must be having hot flushes Woofy, if she thinks it is mild!!

Glad you are OK Robi and also glad for Mr Woof that he can piddle.

Yes, my BP tablets make me piddle, but I piddle lots anyway, unfortunately mostly during the night!! grrrrr

Pleased for your daughter Nets.

I have to explain (methinks I protest too much!) that the dole isn't like in England, one can only get it if one has worked a certain amount of time, and that there are not any jobs available, which is whey she didn't need to in Barcelona as there in employment all year roundm but here, there is absolutley nothing until at least next May. One can't live a life on the dole here, they wouldn't allow it, but one can get food stamps if really down on their luck. They expect family to help family although with all the immigrants that isn't the case anymore. She will have to get a job again in May. I do not approve of the English dole system where almost lazybones can get it,
Here endeth the first lesson! :D
Lottie I need to piddle during the night now, although not much in the day!
I'm so pleased Mr Woofles can pee :) Can he send some vibes to Mr S..hahaa...

♫Somebody help me, yeah
Somebody help me now
Won't somebody tell me
What I've done wrong ♫

'Cos I can't get past that fluffing meadow lady at the doctors and have to trail to the hospital tomorrow to get a repeat prescription for Mr S .
The stoma nurse didn't turn up so that was another long telephone convo .I hope his last few bags last until Thursday .Otherwise the poor bugger will have to lean over the lav and hope for the best .
Apart from that it's a Pee Poo day here .Lashng with rain, still blowing a gale and bloomin' cold .
Yoohoo Dolly Sorry to hear you are unwell .Don't go and leave us .I hope you soon feel better .Keep buggering on lass xxx
Nice watch Lofty .I have a really expensive watch which I have probably worn half a dozen times .The numbers on it are so small it's totally impractical for me .I like a watch with the date and big numbers .Go on treat yourself .

Are you feeling normal now Robinia ..can you see this .......
