get a great big piece of paper, or a crisp packet, and get it to walk in then drop it out of your window
or trap it under a tin can or glass jar for your big brave hubby to dispose off

Yeah but bob, they find a way back in! I'm petrified of the things but having lived on my own for 7 years I can now deal with them. I can't kill them because I can't get that close. So, I get a pint glass and a bit of card and chuck em out the window....then spend half an hour panting until my heart slows down.

no the common house spider is very delicate in comparison to say the garden spider which is those great big orange things you see in webs outside they are not built for outdoors espcially at night
