chicken police

Afternoon, animal lovers. I don't have any animals anymore but lov'em and often watch all sorts of animal clips on YouTube. This one featuring the chicken police really intrigued me - is there anyone among you that could come up with a theory as to why two fighting rabbits should annoy the roosters to such a degree??
The second video is just a bonus for you cat lovers, no question attached, although if any of you have your own little roomba driver at home, do tell!

We went down to Elvaston Castle hoping the cafe was open for a cuppa but it wasn't. It was a bit slippy going down the lane so we decided to come back on the main road which was clear of snow. On the way down we saw a robin sitting on a fence so we stopped to watch it and it flew down into a puddle just in front of us and proceeded to have a bath for 3 or 4 minutes. It was amazing really as it was so close and showed no fear. Mind you we were standing quite still.
I also have a robin which comes every day to my garden. You probably think that that isn't too unusual but in my garden it is as all I seem to get are pigeions and the odd blackbird or two. so I was pleased to see a robin.
Are you all ok today I hope so. It's been a bit warmer here and the snow is thawing. I just hope we don't have any more.
I can't stop thinking about those poor people in Haiti. There was a man talking about his daughters on the radio. One had died and one had terrible injuries and there wasn't the proper facilities to help her. Dreadful! How do people cope when these awful things happen.
The world's a worry.
On that rather depressing note I'll say Bye for now. Have a good night all. x

Stupid ending:'( but otherwise brilliant pigeon jno, I like the 3D feel, reminds me of what it used to be like to look at images in my old View-Master. You should post it on my Mission Impossible question in TV jno:) http://www.theanswerb...V/Question851216.html

Thanks to you and Robinia for the snipping tool, by the way; I'm just waiting for something worth snipping.

This is where I got mine from, neti

At some stage I think you need to right-click and 'attach to start menu' or similar. Then it'll be in the box in the LH corner. Then click on it to draw freehand round what you want to cut out and keep, or shift click and drag to make it a rectangle.

Morning all. I feel a bit brighter today thank goodness. Robins are lovely little birds Robi. Your photo was great. My sister has photos of a robin eating meal worms from a dish just outside her back door. It became so tame then it disappeared for a while but has come back again. Whether it is the same one or not no-one knows but it is just as tame.
I can't get that snipping tool from that link Jno as I have Vista not XP. Mind you there's no telling if I could do it when I had it Ha Ha!!
I've emailed Dolly with the link I hope she gets it ok. Not heard anything yet but I expect she is in bed at the mo!!
Having my hair cut this afto. Then I think I will feel like going out tonight if my friend wants to go. She has 2 jobs and usually texts me in between her change over from one to the other.
I shall have to pass Birds Robi on the way. Don't half miss my cream cakes
See yer later'gater(s)!!

'ello 'ello 'ello, what's going on 'ere then - Neti I sent Dolly a link at Monday, January 11, 2010 9:47 PM, if she didn't get it perhaps she's changed her email addy and forgot to tell me about it ;-) But I do remember that the last time I hosted a thread and you were worrying about Dolly not having received a link, she did say when she finally popped by that she had finally found it amongst the other hundreds of emails in her box. I think it was 700? (Not a misguided attempt at being funny, she did say something like that.)
For Vista users the weird and wonderful snipping tool is under All Programmes/Accessories, as previously mentioned by Robi. You should also be able to find it through the search function. I think this inbuilt snipping function is exclusive to Vista but there are other methods as well http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screenshot and of course jno's Snippy.
*mutters* Pigeon squashers...

neti, my links in emails don't transform into links when I'm writing them, but they do when received (you can check by looking at them in your 'Sent' folder if you have one). Don't know if that helps.
I have taken my sore toes to the doctor and he says they're chilblains. I thought they might be (never having had any before) but they have also been doing imitations of infections and spontaneous bruises from time to time, so I thought he should have a look. He says aloe vera - he used to practise in Fort William and kept a big pot in his surgery for climbers and skiers staggering in with frostbite. So I have got a small pot. Way to go, tootsies!

*sniffs the air* Is that the sillage of the fabulous Southwester cologne...? Vinny d'you remember you gave Shaney and me a perfume called 'ester' for Christmas and I gave you one called Southwester, stating the sillage to be unprecedented? It has now come to my attention (here http://www.theanswerb.../Question849237.html) that the word sillage isn't commonly known, not even by QM, who knows just about everything, so now I'm worried you're thinking I was accusing you of emitting a fermented scent... he he... I wasn't... but hang on... that moonshine machine in your shed... (no leave it Kit).
OK Neti. (But do mail me Dolly's present address if she doesn't find my email and if she's changed her address since the last thread I hosted (couple of months ago).
Jno have you not learned we do not mention naked feet while our leader is in da house. This is the most she can take http://i45.tinypic.com/rjgmja.jpg
