Hello Ruth. Did you have a lovely weekend? Yes it's great that Frankie is doing so well now. He's eating well now, and the other end seems to be working pretty good, so I think Ed the vet will be pleased with progress. Frankie's appointment is 1.30pm, so I'll let you know what he says when I get back. I keep back-tracking to have another look at Issy, and I still can't help smiling at her expression, she's so lovely. I seem to remember you said she's recovered well and is tripping around fine on her three legs. Amazing animals cats !!! xxxx Sheila.

Hi Albaqwerty. Have you had a look at Ruthann's picture of Issy, she's gorgeous. Tomorrow's the big day for Frankie, so fingers crossed for a good report. love Schutz.

Hi Brenda. Hi Honey, just you keep those paws crossed for me, and perhaps Ed the Vet will say I can go outside for a while. I'm a bit fed up with being indoors, and today I tried to get out through the cat-flap, but my mum had locked it. What do you think about that !!! I'm a bit more interested in what's going on and especially all the messages wishing me well. By the way, what colour is your coat? I'll catch up with you tomorrow. Your friend Frankie the Cheshire Cat. I almost forgot love from my mum Sheila as well. Frankie.
Evening Frankie, this is Stockholm calling. What a well loved cat you are, your mum and dad crying "Je t'adore!" at you all day long;-) (Or was it "Shut the door"...? Nah...!)

This is just to let you know I may not be able to post tomorrow but I'll catch your news on Wednesday at the latest. Now you do as your friend Ed says and I do suspect he says you must wait before you venture outdoors - you know if you can't jump, Frankie, you may find yourself in all sorts of embarrassing situations with moles and mice and dogs - no you'd best wait a little longer and practise jumping onto mum's and dad's faces when they're asleep, first. That's a good, first goal.

madaboutcats your Sam is beautiful, what a Buddha. My cat was called Sam too, real name Samantha but I always said Sam.

Hello Rosetta. Thanks for caring, it has been a very stressful time for Frankie, hubby, and me, but thank goodness we're nearly out of the wood now. Just waiting for tomorrow's vet report, and perhaps we can all settle down for a good sleep. We've been sleeping with both ears open in case Frankie showed any signs of distress, so the sleep we have had hasn't had much quality about it. But things are looking up at last. You say you have been away for a week or so, was it anywhere nice, or was it for work, whichever it was I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks again. xxx Schutz.
Question Author
Hello Swedeheart. Frankie the Cheshire Cat replying. I think my mum and dad really meant je t'adore, because they are always telling me what a handsome lad I am, and of course they are right. Yes, I think you're right about waiting a bit longer until I can jump properly, I hadn't thought about the trouble I could get into. I'll have see what Ed says, as he's the boss in my unfortunate situation. What a good idea to practise on mum and dad first, they'll be in for a surprise, because I can now scramble on to the bed, not very dignified but it gets me there. So your Sam was a lady, I'll bet she was pretty. Must go now 'cos mum wants the 'puter. Your friend, Frankie the Cheshire Cat. PS. Mum sends her love too.
yes thanks had a lovely weekend i am sure the vet will be really pleased with frankie he will probably not be allowed any adventures for a good few weeks till everything has healed properly inside Issy sends him a big loud purr she has still got a full tank ! and is on my lap now xxx
Question Author
Hi Ruth. So pleased you had a lovely weekend. I've just told Frankie that Issy has sent him a big purr. Issy certainly knows the best place to be - on your lap. Give her a cuddle from Frankie and me. Night, Night, for now. xxxx Schutz.

Question Author
Hello Ruth, Brenda, Cathy, and everybody.
Frankie has had a very good report this afternoon from Ed the Vet. Ed is very pleased at how well Frankie is recovering, although he said the sleeping for long periods will probably continue for a couple of weeks yet, as although he's healed well on the outside, the inside will take a while yet. Frankie is off the various antibiotics now, and only having his epilepsy tablet twice a day. He still is not allowed out, as he can't jump well enough to get out of trouble if he needed to. Vet said to keep an eye on him, any change to take him back, for another course of antibiotics if his temperature goes back up. Cont'd in Part 2.

Part 2.
Otherwise in 2 or 3 days, when Frankie can jump on to a windowsill or something similar, he can be allowed out to see if he is happy to be outside. We have 6ft fences all round and a 4ft gate, so he won't be able to escape till he can clear one of those. What a relief. I think we're nearly there. Can't imagine the performance if it had been Felix, he wouldn't have been easy to handle, he's a bit of a hooligan. Frankie has been so good through all the drama, and he's normally a very gentle and laid back cat. Still have to watch for an abscess forming on the opposite side to where the pellet went in. Vet said, no problem if it does, he'll just lance it, and the pellet will pop out. Cont'd i Part 3.

Part 3.
Frankie is having a wander around all the bedrooms this evening, and is now watching hubby playing mahjong on his computer.

I can't tell you just how much of a support you have all been, and I'm sure you know how much I appreciate it.
You're ACE everyone of you.

Frankie sends his love to everybody, and so do I. Much Love to All. Schutz.
so pleased that all is well i can go to bed now couldnt go till i had seen how he got on i have been popping in and out of here all evening waiting for your update, i bet you are so relieved you should get a good nights sleep tonight, it wont be long before he is his old self , big hug to you both from me and a big purr from Issy and Lisa,i wont send him any greetings from the feral 3 outside as it would be a hissing or spitting fit from them, lol
Question Author
Hi Honey. Special message just for you. I have sent a message to your mum Brenda and all the other lovely people. Your crossed paws worked very well. Had a good report from vet, and it looks as if I might be out and about in a few days. Special thanks for keeping your paws crossed for me. A Big Purr, for you, from your friend Frankie the Cheshire Cat.

Question Author
Hi again Ruth. Thanks for the lovely photo of Issy, she looks as if she's coping really well after her accident. Who is Lisa, is that another cat of yours? What is she like? Do you feed the 3 feral cats, I always feel sorry for feral cats, but I hope they don't have any kittens to add to your visiting cats. Thanks for the big hugs and purrs, so much appreciated. Yes, I think I will be able to get a decent sleep tonight. Hope so, as it's work tomorrow. Sorry I didn't get on here earlier, but I had some work I had to finish for tomorrow. A big hug from me to you, and lots of cuddles for Issy and Lisa. And I think it had just better be a hello to the 3 ferals, as I don't suppose you can cuddle them. :-)
Much love. Sheila.
