Is the cat just trying to get the dog out of the way for the dog's own protection, do you think? They seem friendly enough otherwise - the dog doesn't seem to mind, and the cat doesn't seem aggressive once it gets off the Roomba.

we had heavy rain jno,but its moving your way now...:O)you were spot on there kip.It was the paignton pic.Love those pics shaney.Ive got it in for the cat next door...it killed me fish....and its called vinny to...it gets a bit confusing when im half pi$$ed in me garden late at night and there shouting vinny vinny..!I just call out..im not coming in..hehe.!hope you feel better today robi..
Morning all. Miserable and overcast here, one of those days where it is colder inside than out - perhaps I should go out and garden,, but then perhaps not.

Spotty face is marginally better, but I still look dreadful!

Am thinking now of hibernating for the summer and coming back out in the winter, when I don't get rashes and other skin reactions. Or perhaps just hibernating all year......................
Sorry I forgot to say hope your spots go quickly Lottie. Are you susceptible to mozzie bites. I'm lucky I only get the occasional one.
Morning all...
Have you met me yet then?

Lovely pics shaney & I really love your mice, they're sooo sweet...I think those beady black eyes know they've been rumbled, haha. I wish I could do close up like that. Have you ever submitted it into a competition?

Well my head's here jno but whether there's much inside it is debatable. Am feeling a tad better thanks & managed to walk rind my grinds without too much wobbling or feeling like Brenda the elephant was on my chest...whatever happened to her I wonder? I won't be going out again tho', it's piddling down here now...thanks Vin <<thwack!>>

mmm, my horo says... "It's time to rediscover an old ability"....

.....right....
Funnily enough Jude, bites are not usually a problem. Apparently we all get bitten the same amount but react or don't react. Mind you, some strange insect bit me in several places a good few years back and I still have the scars. They needed antibiotic and were quite horrific bites - but not mossies.

Don't know what caused this skin problem, but probably rubbing my face after handling something in the garden!! More like blisters than spots but they leave horrible red patches and keep coming back in the same place. They are gradually getting better - I think and touch wood!!
Hi Robbi, glad your feeling a bit better.

An old ability, eh. Were you ever able to stand on your head! Go on try it!!!!
Loves those crocs - couldn't afford them though!

I am very susceptable to mossie bites. When I first came here I had to have monthly injections to stop any swelling that may have occurred when bitten. My arms have been so swollen and face also, but now always use a mossie machine in the house and wear lotion when I go out. I used to have one of those machines that made a mossie noise but the high-piched sound drove me mad!
No Lottie, I never could do a hand or headstand so that won't be it ...I used to be pretty good at throwing stones :o)

Allergies are the curse of summer and gardeners...my mum's lady gardener came up in horrible blisters after handling daffodil leaves.

Anyway I've bought you all a pressie (make sure you click Hear Me)....<cackle>

....and, as I don't get many in my garden, this one's for me

that mossie toy is awful - buzzing away!

What advert <<<< I do not have one there!
At the moment neti I've got one for benadryl, haha...but sometimes it's one for crocs that says 'meet Patricia'
yep, thought so, one mention of them & the Crocs are back!
<< on both sides now!... hahaha > >
I've blocked all my ads, so I am untainted by vile commercialism. But I don't get to meet Patricia either. Swings and roundabouts.
My ads. must be blocked. I don't get any, except the list over there >>>>

No pop ups or anything else!!
I've got an add for B&B in Auckland and a virgin one (errrrm!) and that's it.

Afternoon mossies, did you know that the sound of a mosquito nearby is one of the most stressful sounds a human being can be exposed to. (Although that goldfinch hurt my ears more...)

You should have gone for the Eco-Fanny, Jude. *chuckle chuckle*

I'm glad you're feeling a bit better Robi:))

May I suggest we change "Don't mention the war" to "Don't mention the Crocs" cos ever since Woofy first did they've been on almost every site that I'm on, they rule the world. The other day at the checkout counter there was a teenage girl in front of me who did the moonwalk better than ole Whacko himself, I couldn't believe my eyes. Had to talk to her and it turned out she had wheels underneath her shoes - no they weren't roller skates as we biddies know them, they were athletic shoes and the wheels were almost built-in, inside the thick sole, so when she skated away it looked like magic. The night after I dreamt about riding my bicycle, I used to love doing that but I've never dared to in this trafficky town. But I've fallen off my feet much more often than I have off my bike ha ha, I only remember doing that once and I was a bit tipsy at the time=:0

yes daughter had a pair of those wheelie trainers years ago, they never really took off over here, we got hers in USA and then saw them in ToysRus in London on way back <<<tut>>>
the shoes are called Heelies Kit...very popular with kids in the UK last year....NOT popular with supermarkets as the kids weren't as good as they thought they were and crashed into people a lot.
My mozzie bites are going away and I now have a cold...I've had one every month this year and I am now officially bored with it.
Its raining here today but not enough, the garden could do with a downpour.
Those pics are amazing Shaney. I would never wish harm on any animal but the year our neighbours cat got a box full of bluetits, I almost lost it completely. We don't see many cats round here now. The roads are very busy.
Robi are you going to get investigated? Its hard to know what to do if it was a one off event isn't it?
I have a strange job to do when the weather eases up and that's relocate a wasp nest. It was in the soil of an empty pot in the tortoise enclosure that i tipped out. Neither DH or I are in favour of slaughter without cause so i am going to build a little shelter and relocate the wasps (only about 6 and a nest the size of an expresso cup) to am area of the garden where the dogs can't get at them and they are away from the house.
Crazy? Ya think???
I don't get pop-ups anymore (haha) but I get the ads at the sides. Some are a bit distracting but occasionally there's one worth investigating....let's see if vests has any effect :o)
Could we also have 'Don't mention ToysrUs'...strikes fear into the heart of many a grandma it does...
oooh, spooky woofy!!! - 'investigate'...I hadn't seen your post when I wrote that word.

I have a feeling it was the fibromyalgia causing muscle weakness in my chest (it floats around my body at random) which affected my heart. It first happened about 8 years ago, I had lots of tests & they could see the heart weakness on the echocardiogram. Gradually over a few months it got better & after 2 yrs the heart dept said I was ok. They wouldn't commit to a reason...could have been a virus that affected my heart, the fibro, or a delayed side effect of chemo. Anyway it made me feel very much the way I felt recently but of course it's easy to use the same reasoning everytime. I suppose I should see the doc, it's just a bloomin nuisance that they've moved the hospital - 2 buses or a £10 cab ride. :o(
