Flowers on a fig?

I have a nice brown Turkey fig tree in a pot. I get about six figs a year and very nice they are too. BUT I have never seen any flowers on my fig tree, just suddenly tiny figs appear. So...do figs flower and if so when and what do the flowers look like? and if figs don't flower, where do the tiny figs come from??

Don't worry about it girls..I am often lurking round the house in my dressing gown well after midday. I don't think our postie has ever seen me dressed ! After years of having to get up and be washed and dressed at some ungodly hour to go to work I think blow it ...or a similar word to that !!

I always shower and get dressed as soon as I'm up. Only lounge and do housework in a tracksuit - not a shellsuit - onviously dress to go out for coffee and then back into tracky at home. Lovely warm cuddly pj's at night after my bath and sox. I am indeed a picture to behold.

no we're sorry for rambling on and not noticing you squeezing in....I do end up talking to myself in here sometimes but I don't bother too much 'cos I do out here as well.

the Nooloo was taken by the Ed I think - regular tea-leaf she is.....still not brought my Bing Bonger back. We'll have a look for it & pop a few spiders in there - that'll teach her to mess with us.

Robinia It seems a bit silly sometimes talking to people in cyberspace but at the same time it's good to know there are some who are in the same boat who are just happy to have contact with the outside world. I do have a life outside here but at the same time I do spend hours on my own as I'm sure lots of others do. Also reassuring is that you only live possibly a few miles from me and also that I may be speaking to others who live on the other side of the world.

Gessoo Thanks for the offer of you pink dressing gown only I've just had a new one from M & S. Bought it out of the �50 I was given for being at Sainsburys for 15 years..wow!
