I can't get on the computer in the afternoons as daughter usually hogs it. I'll be on here most of the night worrygutting as she's out partying tonight. It's Carnival time tomorrow in Ibiza town and then here in Sta Eulalia on Tuesday. I'm going to go dressed as an old hag so no change there then!!

Hi Neti don't get worrygutting too much. Sorry I can't chat tonight as I'm off out myself. Hope you have a good time at the carnival. x

Be happy

neti how are you ? Alittle something I've finally learned your children will still go out and enjoy themselves whether you worry or not .It doesn't make the slightest difference putting yourself through hell ,they still go out . Remember she is only doing what we all did in our younger days and that is what we want to do at that moment in time .The young think they are immortal so if we pray and let them get on with it they may well be ! Anyway try to relax and do something you enjoy doing and the time will fly .By the way neti how old is your daughter ? Good Luck ,don't worry ,be happy .
By the way lunch was lovely ,thank you neti !
morning all .....

Drops heavy box down.....well that's the last time I go shopping here. Not sure how I managed it but I've got 2 dozen sets of castanets & outside there are 10 straw donkeys and eight flamenco shoes. I say eight & not four pairs as they're all right feet - that dictionary must have been written by the shifty looking fella that sold it all to me.....tut.. it's not going to be easy getting rid of those on ebay.

neti - easy for me to say but Dolly is right about the worrying. All that happens is you make yourself feel rotten while they are out enjoying themselves & not giving you a second thought. As I've said before my youngest son does horrendous things down caves & up mountains. I feel sick when I see some of the pics but all I can do is hope he stays safe.
Question Author
Hi well she's back - after 12and a half hours of partying. Dolly she's 19 going on 4! and has dabbled with hard drugs so I do worry. On the whole all the people she goes around with are OK, but I've had a few emergency calls at about 5 am and it worries me. Once she was shrieking down the phone that 3 men were following her and she'd lost the rest of her crowd and she was alone by the harbour and couldn't get home, no taxis around, so hubby drove to get her, but it's hearing horrible things when one can't do anything. Turned out she'd had a bit to drink and none of it was true, but she's a drama queen. I just dread not being able to help her. Sher leaves herself open and vulnerable even though I talk to her everytime she goes out. We don't let her take her car as she likes a drink but then she can't always get home. Why can't I lock her in her room until I can arrange a marriage for her. Damned good idea I say. There, thank you all for listening. It's never as bad as I imagine, but my imagination runs riot.
Oh I'm glad she's home safe neti - you probably won't stop worrying about her even when she's married with her own family! I can see the drugs thing must be awful - thankfully not a problem I ever had to deal with ...just the occasional too much booze. But they both had cars at a young age & had prangs & that worried me - no drinking & driving tho'. Oh if they were born as teenagers we'd never have any would we?

Well Robinia imagine pushing 'em out at that size, shudders. I was 42 when I had her, had no intention of ever having children (I was a nursery teacher and that was enough) but fell pregnant by accident with twins, and then I lost them which set my maternal feelings in motion. Old tidytins and I were at it like rabbits (he thought all his Xmases had come all at once - well yes actually they had) and then we conceived her and I was so happy. Lost two more after her, so I do tend to baby and spoil her, which is the problem I guess.

Right who's turn to cook lunch - we have big lunches over here -and BTW it's pouring down so I guess a b-b-q is out.

I can see how precious she must be to you neti - I'd have liked a daughter (as well as sons, I wouldn't change them....don't think they'd want to change either lol)

lunch? will this do? lovely
I pinched it from somebody in the pub....Vinny can have the beer. Wonder where he is today? I was going to ask if there were any good freebies in the papers but it's soooo cold I didn't really want to go out anyway.

Question Author
Thanks Robinia I try not to do pies. Am off for a paella with old tidytins. It's freezing here also. This afternoon after drinking a bottle of Blanc Pescador I will be reclining in front of a blazing fire dozing and doing crosswords.

Afternoon Biddys...Yeah...Yeah...Yeah..just playing some old beatles records...(:)

BEATLES

Beatles

Beatles

Beatles

"We all live in a Biddy submarine":(:)

tanks fer the beer robinia..you okay...!

Oh that sounds like a good idea Vinny - my son's mate has the entire collection of beatles albums & put them all on a cd for me when I first got a computer. Might just get me through another hour of decluttering, bits of diy & cleaning that I really don't feeling like doing. Trouble is once I start something I can't stop no matter how rotten it's making me feel - always pay for it later.

Have a break in between robinia, put yer feet up...

now Where's gessoo,woofy,dolly.shaney.

it looks like they have been arrested for that Heist..hehe...(:)um...is the money on its way to ibiza..netti..tut tut....!!!and pickles trail has gone cold...??

I have been marooned in the Biddybakery and not even a stale bun to nibble on.Lugging my shopping trolley up this beach was no joke and this bloomin' sand gets everywhere .
Hope you are all well.it has been freezing here the last few days ,gales of wind (no smart remarks Vinny) which howl round the place and make me feel rotten. Bright and sunny today though and the wind has dropped a bit and it is not quite so cold.Perhaps spring is on the way at last.
Have a good Sunday everyone x

Good afternoon Everybody. IIII'm listening to Chris Baird on Radio Derby. He plays all the 50's 60's 70's stuff and he has a special beatles section.

Went to see the Pumpkin Trucks last night at a local pub but it was packed out and very smokey so we moved on to another place where The Aces, another group, were on.

It's talking to sons time this afternoon. One of my sons is very kean on rugby and there's a match this afto so have to time my call not to co-incide. The other one is football mad so I can't win.

Like you neti I'm going to relax and do a crossword now.

hurray - got more done in the hour than I thought so that's me lot for today. left a trail of destruction behind me but I can sort that tomorrow. See you're all relaxing....

me (not that big but feel as tho I've been steam-rollered!)
