Now that JK Rowling has officially named her next book who do you think is the half-blood prince?? I initally thought it could possibly be something to do with Neville Longbottom, but have since remembered that both his parents were wizards therefore he is full blood. Anyone any suggestions as to who it could possibly be??

But all the students except slythern look up to Harry as a leader. Or once again it may be a Person that all the halfbloods look up to. Like Dumbledore. I thhink that it will be
Dumbledore
Dean
Justin
J.K. Mentioned about deleting a whole chapter about Dean in the Second book about his history. I think that this may be a huge Clue that she was talking about. See, I think you need combined reading the book and research on her site. I think that it is very possible that she make him the HBP or any of the other 2 in the double spaced list above
I think that the HBP is Colin Creevey.
JK Rowling said that certain clues to finding out who the HBP is,is in the COS.
The only half bloods mentioned in the COS apart from Tom Riddle is Colin and Justin.
One of the clues was,
"something 'so small' in the COS will become big in the the 6th book"
While reading the COS on page 116, a paragraph describes Colin as being 'so small'- could this be one of the clues??
Colin is only a small, minor charator in the COS-not much important. But he could have a bigger, major role to play in the later books.
i like the idea of mark evens being the halfblood prince.
i realised from the moment i read his name ["i saw you doing mark evens a week ago"] that he would be imporant; cos he would havre to related to lily sumhow, i mean, j.k doesn't use a name and not have a reason for it- book four when mr. weasly and mr. diggory r talking before portkey-ing to the cup 'and the lovegoods couldn't get tickets'- and then in book 5 luna appears.
Chris W makes a good point:ok, Im an extreme Harry Potter fan and when I found out what the title of the six book was, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, I started making charts of all the half blood characters. So I have come to the conclusion that my best awnser would probably have to be Hagrid. Its probably Hagrid because he is half blood, and his mother,(a giantess) could have been the queen of the giants, and that would make Hagrid Prince.
