Now that JK Rowling has officially named her next book who do you think is the half-blood prince?? I initally thought it could possibly be something to do with Neville Longbottom, but have since remembered that both his parents were wizards therefore he is full blood. Anyone any suggestions as to who it could possibly be??
I dont think is Malfoy or Neville. when i heard about the sixth book i strongly believed that it would be Harry not Voldemort, after Rowling annoucing that its neither of them, i think that its either Guildery Lockhart, Justin, Colin or Hagrid. but if you think about it Rowling states that is related to book 2. Now after reading all of your answers i believe that it's Lockhart. it can't be Colin cause he's not Half blood. and we dont even no nothing about lockhart. think about it. Why did Rowling introduce Harry and others to Lockhart in book 5?. read this and give a answer that its not Lochart.
As a remark to your theory of mark evans if any of you have the brains to go to jkrowilng.com she specifically said there was no relation between lily and mark. it was just coincidence and evans is a popular name in Britan.
It is possibble that it is Either Dobby, Luckheart, Or I really really think it is hagrid. My explanation hagrid is half wizard half giant now of course as many people know on the J.K. Rowling website she says that the person was in the chamber of secrets that is were i got my answer i have my resources peace.
Well, my first geuess had been Voldemort, but since JKR stated that it is neither him nor Harry, I have no real clue. But wouldn't it be funny if is Draco? He, who always took such pride in beeing "pureblooded"? No really, I also think it either a new person or Mark Evans. Or perhaps it is one of the founders? Salazar Slytherin, e.g.?
I think that it will be Godric Gryffindor. He was definitely in the second book, and he fits the following "sneak preview" that I saw on TV and on the internet.
"He looked rather like an old lion.
"There were streaks of grey in his tawny hair and his bushy eyebrows; he had keen yellowish eyes behind a pair of wire-rimmed spectacles and a certain rangy, loping grace even though he walked with a slight limp."
The reference to "lion" is what gives it away to me.
Neither Harry, Voldemort, nor Hagrid are the hbp. Mark Evans has no significance. I read the new excerpt and I think James Potter could be alive:
He looked rather like an old lion. There were streaks of grey in his mane of tawny hair and his bushy eyebrows; he had keen yellowish eyes behind a pair of wire-rimmed spectacles and a certain rangy, loping grace even though he walked with a slight limp.
James Potter had glasses just like Harry! Wire rimmed glasses!
Mark Evans is Dudleys friend. I think that the HBP will be someone new. Probably the new defence against the dark arts teacher, the one from the peice of the book.
Yeah, dats wot i tink
