(This is a rerun of a question I asked a while back in the main category. Didn't get any replies there - could it be that the real buffs dwell in subcategories only? Sorry to be such a pain in the proverbial but I really want that poster - if indeed it exists.)
I used to own a black-and-white photo postcard from a Martha Graham production where dancer Merce Cunningham comes flying through the air in one giant leap. A woman (Graham?) sits at her desk in a jaded pose studying his flight toward her as if she were assessing his flying techniques rather than anticipating his company. Cunningham's body is cram full with energy, he's like a spring just released; looking at the picture you feel he must surely bounce once he lands.
I'd love to have this photo on my wall as a poster but haven't been able to find it. I'm good at advanced googling but search engines do provide different results in different countries - so if you're in the mood for some googling and you don't live in Sweden...

Some of my friends are coming to town for the weekend so I'll be making myself scarce on the AB for that reason. The Master And Margarita at the theatre tomorrow evening, but before that we are having an early dinner at Herman's, the veggie buffet place by the water. We've reserved a table on their veranda. well, he said last time he didn't really want to give me the jab because it could be uncomfortable... when even a surgeon thinks something's uncomfortable you have to take notice.

here I is...you might have thought/hoped I'd tunnelled my way out with my blue bird toffee hammer or eloped with one of Jude's cast off tea bags but nope, I've been so ill with massive headaches all week, I thought me number was up I tell 'ee. Even the distraction therapy of pulling my nails out with pliers & dropping the flat iron on my foot didn't do the trick so I left all the windows open in hopes some mad axeman would do the honours....but oh no, I couldn't get that lucky.
Anyhoo, I've survived, minus a few of those precious lbs, hair that Worzel would be proud of & a nice 4" carpet of dog hair around the house ..... the high spot of the week was getting a Wickes catalogue, I love 'em, I'm like a kid with a comic...all those lovely shiny new things :o)

Hi All Sorry to hear about all yours aches and pains. Neti you take care, hope things brighten up for you. Shaney enjoy your spending spree. Robinia sorry you've not been well hope you're feeling better now. I very rarely get a headache so I'm lucky in that respect and Jno hope your jab goes alright for you.
All I've got is a bit of a sore back with all the gardening I've been doing. (Not much really - cut the grass and got rid of a load of weeds) I don't have a huge garden I'm pleased to say but the plants that my lovely gardener planted the year before last are not maturing and there is quite a lot of colour.
Tbag is a gardener and he has a lovely place which is up for sale. He's coming for Sunday Dinner this weekend. Went to see him playihng in the Big Band last night and had a good time. I took my Tai Chi friend with me and we quick stepped, fox trotted and jived all night. Took me right back to my younger days when the Big Bands were all the rage. Just a bit before Bill Hayley. I think the Big bands still have a great following in this country. I have Ted Heath and lots of his band members autographs. I also have George Melly's who died recently. Do you think I would be able to sell them on ebay.
Right I'm off now to clean up. That's 3 weeks on the run I've cleaned up must be some reason for that. I wonder if it has anything to do with Tbag. Take care all and have a nice weekend :o) xx

Evening all - Poor Robi, hope you are feeling better, don't feel sorry for me, the irish certainly know how to throw a wake! Oh me 'ead!!! Sad service, but hundreds of people there to pay their respects, in fact I couldn't get into the church it was so packed, what I like is that after a couple of drinks everyone is enjoying themselves and we could chat about the departed without feeling guilty!! Will be going to bed early to rest my throbbing head!!

I see we are all in fettle again apart from Jno's foot ..I've got a funny foot now ..well I've had it for while actually .My left ankle and foot swells up . Perhaps it's trying to hatch out .

hello all just popped in for a late night read and a catch up. Sorry to hear about everyones aches and pains, I am about to start mine as like Shaney I have been whipping the garden into shape and its fair banjaxed me...NEVER try using a yard broom with two helpful pups in the vicinty. robi I am glad to hear that the headaches have receeded...next time take more water with it!
Neti I hope you are feeling okay, Its difficult to go to these things and put aside your own feelings to be strong for the family...then afterwards you have to deal with how you feel.... I know what you mean about a good wake though, they have a kind of cleansing quality to them...especially if you mix your drinks

these things,but after a few drinks it helps.I remember years ago,I went to this ole boys do and all the family were there,and it turned out a right party,the ole chap fell in a vat of cyder...at least he was ******...he wouldnt have wanted it any other way....anyways this ole boy turned up and said it was one of the best wake's he'd ever bin to..they found out later he would check the papers fer Births and Deaths and turn up and have a bloomin good time...hahahaha....thats wat im gonna do...(:O)

evening tout....turned out nice dint it? well we weren't basking in so much sun but it was nice & warm good to be outside. Yep ladies the gardening makes places ache you forgot you had...a good rub down with algipan should sort you out - careful where you put, it stings a bit.

No tanning here ..very warm and very close ,no sun ..what my mother used to call ..billious attack weather ...The blackies are singing away merrily which is a sure sign of rain ...which was promised but hasn't arrived ..as yet .But you can bet your bottom dollar that it will any minute now because I have just pegged out . No garden bashing today for me .
