I'm looking for a new hair styler . My old Nicky Clarke has given up .
Well ,let's say it went ..bang ,and I jumped abut a lot :)
What I want is a hot brush type thing ..not a straightener ..just one of those ones that give your hair a bit of bounce . Like a blow dry brush but electric .
Any recommendations......thank you .

We bought a box of helados hoy! choc and vanilla ones on a stick they are scrummy!!!!
well I don't know what they are neti but if they're on a stick and include chocolate they sound like my kinda thing...

neti I've just remembered something... do you remember some time back when I said the leader of the local fibromyalgia group sent out frantic emails saying she'd been robbed of everything in Spain and needed some help? I did think it was terrible if true but thought it a bit odd and I didn't reply. It turned out to be a scam, someone had hacked her email & sent out that message to all the support group members.
Will you be saving 'oldsters' in distress in this big house...when you get it?

Lottie I could weep and moan 'til the cows come home at the moment...but I've realised it doesn't help. Chin up, things could be worse...I've just realised I've got no chocolate in the house!!
HELADOS = Ice cream Robi.

Yes we did wonder if it was a scam but just one young woman stepped forward and proved it to be true, I was ashamed that I hadn't done anything, but am now robbing the wardrobes and giving them everything!!!!
and the thing was, people wondered how they got onto facebook to ask for help but it was true they begged an internet cafe owner for help and he let them for free.
so do they do the foie de canard helados on Ibiza? I prefer sorbeta mandarina myself
Thing is Robbie, I have really deteriorated in the last couple of weeks and realise that I can't now manage even simple tasks. Even getting dressed is a mammoth effort. There seems no bright side of life at the moment.
Oh poor Lottie, hope you feel better soon.

jno we get all flavours here, I only like lemon sorbette, and/or nata, none of the flavours, don't like ice cream much, ooh but love a 99 in England, yes !

Hello all.,hope you are all OK .
Lovely day here .Bright and sunny and I had short trip to town to the market and veered off and bought a nice Tigi top that had been reduced .
I thought all the grockles had gone home but they're clinging on for dear life by the look of it .The place was packed .I was glad to get the bus home .
As usual I was shoved out of the way by a load of old codgers who MUST get on the bus first at all costs and sod anyone else .They all stand there leaning on their sticks but the minute the bus pulls up they can damn well go quicker than I can .
Well..that's a bit shabby of the German Embassy Neti ...surely they could have picked up a phone for them to get in touch with someone .If they were mugged they wouldn't have any ID would they .Typical rubber stampers them Germans !
Lol Robinia ..I love the hot dog maker but I won't be showing it to Mr S :)

Sorry you are under the weather Lofty ...all things must pass .Chin up .Dont let it get you down .I can't stand on one leg to put me knickers on these days either :0)
Then go without them there knickers Shaney - blow caution to the wind!!! Even putting a sweater on hurts :o( - just the very action of raising my arms. I really miss my walks - I tried last Thursday and ended up coming home in tears with frustration and pain. I am not much fun to be with at present, but I keep hoping that it's just a bad patch - but they don't usually go on and on and on with no respite.

I have no real news, except that Mr LL has been approached to do some consultancy work which I know he would really love to do, so am encouraging him - he has nothing to lose and he isn't enjoying being retired at all.

oooh I couldn't do that Lofty .I've got to go and have me waterworks checked again on Wednesday and in spite of constantly clenching things are no better !
It probably is a bad patch .I know what I feel like when I have these rheumatoid attacks .I crawl about like an old crab .
That's good for Mr L. They do get bored .
Mr S is happy when he gets a bit of work to do .His old colleague who comes round to see us has odd work for him now and again .It's only company accounting and tax stuff but he's so happy when he's got a spreadsheet in front of him !
He was like a dog with two tails yesterday sorting out Pickys stuff .
lol shaney, it's like some of the old dears who shove past you in shops...or mow you down on their mobi scooters as they whizz by at breakneck speed with their carriers full of co op whisky.... Put your pants on your head, everyone will make way for you then. :)

I've definitely deteriorated in the past 12 months since I had to kick the hrt. I didn't think I could feel a lot worse than I did when I was taking them but... oh hell....Couldn't get to sleep last night for the screaming pain from the hips down, especially my feet. This summer has done us no favours, far too cold and damp. I'm dreading this winter... big time. It's only 3 weeks to the clock change...there, that cheered you up didn't it? :)

The screaming hips and lower back pain do my brain in Robinia .
When I get on the bus I sit in the front if I can . One woman once said to me that those seats are reserved for elderly and disabled people .I asked her if she had Xray eyes .....and gave her one of my looks :)
Well ...I'm going to make us a snack and then plonk my weary bum in front of the box , watch some catch up teevee and I may even have a large drink !
well on advise they have now denounced the robberey so the German consulate has to do something for them now.

I think all the party grockles are on this island for the closing parties, horrendous behaviour from them at 5 this afternoon, falling in my way when I was driving. I got nervous, but last day for me now, NO MORE! and even more fat grockles with muffin tops blocking my view at coffee!!
When I am on an english train I dare not sit in the Reserved for Elderly seats, just do not feel old enough, although all this driving sets my right knee aching and as it can't be moved it's uncomfy!
well thanks pals, now my right hip has started aching and is most uncomfortable. Am I coming out in sympathy, or am I really hurting.

Am going to meet the young unfortunates tomorrow, to give them the clothes etc, look forward to it! The kind woman who "saved them is taking them to England to give them work and accommodation, so I asked her to help hija and she will try! Yay!!
golly, so sorry to hear people are having hard times with their creaky bodies. I do hope they start to behave soonest.
jno I was full of the joys of spring until I came on here, now I am an aching old woman, steer well clear!!!!

I've just caught up with two Timeshift programmes .Health before the NHS.
Look away now Neti :)
Very interesting .Lots of old film footage and they showed the Peckham experiment .All I can say is thank goodness for modern medicine and all those that paved the way.
I've had a pomegranate and a large whisky and feel much better for it :)

Glad those young people got some help Neti .Must be awful to be somewhere you don't know and then have that happen to you .
Oight Oight lovelies .Sleep toight .
Oight, oight - taken two Baclofen tablets plus my strong arthritis tablets and feel quite spaced - but better than being wracked with pain. Now all I have to do is crawl up the stairs and flake out.
