Have you ever had a professional facial done in a salon? Approx how much did you pay, was it worth it & how long did the effect last? I'd never really thought about it until a friend recently mentioned she'd like one so I'm considering going too - we could both do with a bit of cheering up.

beautiful here too....spending the afternoon doing nothing much with the family and smelling the dinner cooking (roast pork)
Afternoon Each hope you are all having a good weekend. The weather has been good here but has just turned a bit dull.

Had a bit of a rocking night on Friday night and can't keep my eyes open since not had a late night for ages.. Went to a Tatting workshop yesterday with my sister. She is well into it and was really cracking on. I just sat and watched as I am too ham fisted to do anything like that. I left her to it about lunch time and came home.
Any of you Biddies into tatting. Very fiddling I find.

Only Lewis on telly to watch tonight. Let's hope it's good.

Take Care All

well I can tat but as you say its a lot of faff for not a lot of return (with respect to your sister) on the other hand, on train journeys, its so much more classy than playing games on your mobile phone!!!
good day giddybiddies! No time for tatting (that's such an old fashioned thing isn't it?) doubt my fingers are nimble enought now. Peace and quiet reigneth in mi casa, but there's a pile of washing and cleaning to be done. Enjoyed having my daughter here apart from nighttime shennanigans!! Poured with rain last night, but seems ok now.

Hope you are all well and happy, I will drop in later and computer is free now that she has gone!! Must say this keyboard is much easier to use and not half as many typos!!
-Hellooooo?-
Hellooooo back atchya Neti !
Hope you are all well. Lovely day here and I am trying to get my hovel cleaned up ready for the troops at the weekend .
Lewis was good Jude ..what's the betting on Lewis and the pathologist getting together !! I still miss John Thaw though but I can watch it all over again on my DVD Morse collection ! Have you read the books ?

If you are reading this by any remote chance Jno I managed to obtain a copy of Heavenly Creatures .All done by my child and yes our DVD thingy does play region whatever it is .
Brilliant film . Although you knew the outcome I was chewing my nails as they walked through that park at the end . Those close up shots of those thick seamed stockings at the beginning brought back memories of the ones I used to have to wear at school .
Although they were never supposed to see one another again it's strange that they have both landed up in remote parts of Scotland !
I wish someone would get some new mags in this saloon ..I'm fed up with Peg's Paper and Woman's Weekly circa 1956
Come on Robinia shake a leg and find some copies of Titbits for our perusal :))
Toodlepip for now folks ....take care xx
Hi All Been busy today doing lawns back and front and trimming edges digging and weeding. still not finished but will have another go another day when the mood takes me.

No Shaney haven't read any Morse books but I used to really like the series and I'm well into Lewis now as well. I reckon he'll get it on with the pathologist too.

The sun's gone in again now after a lovely start. Never mind at least it's not raining at the mo.

(tosses in a pile of Cosmo, She and Red)
Hi all its a lovely morning here but distinctly taters. My cherry tree is in flower, every year I forget how beautiful it is and every year I get the same lovely surprise....scent is amazing too once the sun warms up.
Ah at last biddies emerge!! Slightly taters here and all, we are expecting a deluge of rain, but am still washing the sheets - that's the rebel in me!! of to look for decent hairdresser, hair has grown so much longer and I cannot be bothered to crinp and curl it so am walking round like a hag!! (No comments necessary, thank you!)

morning, here I is, just stopping by for a yoghurt break....sorry about the absence, hope you've all been following a keep fit regime

Ooooh, hecky thump, this home improvement malarkey's tiring....boudoir was nicely decorated thanks to a man who can. Now I'm playing musical clutter - well it's what you do isn't it, just move it from one room to another.

Ok, so who wants to put this bathroom cabinet together for me, where's Vinny when you need him? I need some extra storage, I didn't get to look this fabulous by accident ya know (although a lovely young ex beautician told me she thought I was 10 years younger than I am on Sat <trumpets sound hehe!!>...& no neti, she wasn't selling me anything)..

Neti smirks I don't have to be told that I look 10 yrs younger, I know!!

ha ha, yes I tied it too high and now I look asian!! ASIAN I said not ancient!!
pouring down here, have you all been washed away? I have been drenched twice now as I forgot to do something in town the first time - gerrrrr!
Morning all ,I trust you are all improving with the sunny weather (neti you of course will be enjoying the benefits of all that lovely rain on your skin -no wrinkles for you eh!)
Robi are you making any profit on the Beauty treatments yet? you seem to be doing a good job .All those lotions and potions in the wash basin should solve anyone's problems ,not that I have any problems -beautywise that is - I just take my glasses off to look in the mirror and all is well !!!
And yes where is Vinny when you need him? He couldn't be ill ,could he ?
Time for cocoa and bed -time flies when you're having fun but mind you this Expresso is nothing like the Cappucinno I'm used to ! Night all .
another lovely day here...we took the dogs out real early then did exceptionally little all day....just lovin this retirement lark
Hi Everybiddy and Robi I hope you are ok.

It's been a lovely day today here hope it has been for you all. The forecast says rain tomorrow though.

I'm off out tonight. Apparently a local pub has just started putting music on so we are off to have a look see what it is like. Live music so they say. Don't think there is much room to dance though.

See yer later 'gater(s) x

Lovely sunny day here at the moment, but who knows!
