Right ladies
The sun is out the sky is blue and it may very well hot up a bit a bit soon which means less slap. .This winter has taken it's toll on my skin and in spite of exfoliating ,cleansing and whatnot it looks dingy to me .
I don't expect miracles at my age but just need something to brighten my skin a bit and make it look a bit fresher .Do any of you use face packs on a regular basis and if so what can you recommend .

Been lovely here too Shaney. I wore a jacket to take Megs across the fields and wish I hadn't. I was almost passing out with the heat by the time I got back.

The Jury is intriguing. I thought I had worked out what that woman was up to, but am now not sure. Was that a photo of one of the murdered women that she said goodnight to at the end?
Hi All. Lottie I've just had to delete a load of emails too. Sorry. Not to worry anyway it will get sorted especially, I imagine. now you've deleted the whole group.

I've had a lovely meal roday - prepared and served by the students at The Round House. It is called The Engine Shed where the restaurant is situated. The meal was suggested, prepared and served by the students on their course at the college there. They even took our coats and even held out the chairs for us to sit down and the meal was delicious and looked so well laid out. I forgot my phone but I wish I hadn't because I would have put some photos on here.
Anyway I ended up having to go to Boots and get something for a huge (as big as my thumb nail) blood blister that appeared in mouth just before I went out this morning. I tried not to burst it while I was eating but it did. I got some Bonjela and I hope that works cos it's so sore.

See yer in a bit...
Oooh, that sounds horrible Jude. Have you bitten the inside of your cheek or something - nasty!!

In the far distant past I have had lunches at the Kings Lynn Tech. (as it was then) The students used to do it on a regular basis as part of their course and the meals were dead cheap. They too used to look after everybody really well. Don't know whether they still do it.

Jude I have found that the best thing for ulcers, etc. is Cortosyl Gel. I can't use cortosyl mouthwash as it burns my mouth and causes sore, but the gel is amazing and you can just use it on the sort place - unlike the mouthwash.

Oh dear Jude ..hope it soon heals up .Nothing worse than a sore in your mouth .
I hope it didn't spoil your lunch .
I would say take 600mg and monitor the situation but I've taken that much of it the last few days a certain persons shares must be rocketing :0)

That woman was on the previous jury who convicted him Lofty .I think it might be her sister and/or another relation or partner of hers who was killed Though why would they have a relative of a murder victim on a jury ?
It's very vexing .
Oh dear, I should have come here first, I've just replied on the group email thing so it's probably all up and running again, hahahaha...sorry!

It's been mild here but not sunny, had an amble to the shops & bought a pink peggy to hang me bloomers on (my life's sooo exciting)...I might hang it in the window on the curtain rail, nice and warm there above the radiator.

Oh that's spooky shaney, I was doing some sorting other day and I found more or less the same amount of change... I'd forgotten I'd put it there :o)

Hope you'r mouth's ok Jude....just working off your meal I see :o)

My hair's turned to fluff, I look like a gonk...
Oh it's ok Lottie, the demons just sent my mail back so the group's well and truly extinct......
<♫...dern, dern, derrrrn....♫>...or is it?

:o)

Peggies are very useful .I get them in Wilkies .The only downside is sometimes the pegs break .But I save the odd ones and recycle them onto a new peggie if the pegs on that one break ....Yes I know ..that all sounds like a old biddy ramble doesn't it ..haha
Very handy for smalls and socks though .I hang mine off a hook on the pergola .
I might hang it in the robinia, it's only sunny at the bottom of the garden in the winter. Now that the leaves are (almost) off the people on the side road will be able to see...they'll all be running to get their binoculars to check out the 'strange creature' in the tree, haha

They're ideal for stuff like dishcloths ,floorcloths , flannels ,socks ,knickers and bras
I can't be bothered pegging little bits onto the big line . My bras would give the neighbourhood a thrill :)
I've always got a couple on the go and they are quite cheap to buy .About a quid or so in Wilkies .
well, when I get an email from Lottie and I click on Reply, it still fills itself in as BU (even though the original had Lottie's name on it), not LL, but then the demons bounce it back. So I don't know if Lottie has gone down with the good ship Biddiesunited or what.
How's Mr S Shaney. Hope he's still improving. (she mutters through the right side of her gob!)
The Pharmasist in Boots advised Bonjela cos he said if he gave me anything stronger it would really sting. so I went and bought some. Another hour and I can put some more on then before bed. Should be ok in the morning.

Remember the other day I told you I went to a very unconventional funeral with a jazz band etc. Well the wife, of the gentleman(and he was one) that died, also collapsed with and embolism last Saturday and died. Unbelieveable. So her funeral is next week for family only at the ceremony but we are invited to the reception.

Can anyone tell me please why my avatar hasn't changed? I've been back to Gravatar a couple of times but still no luck.
Lottie goes over to see if she has disappeared beneath the waves. Am going to send you an email jno (if I am still there). Would appreciate it if you could let me know if it ever gets to you and whether it is from me or BU!!
Gravatar and AB are having an argument apparently Jude, which is why Robi is stuck on the bridge.

Now laughing at the idea of Robi hanging her knicks on the curtain rail in her front parlour. Why not a red light too, Robi?

Jude, sad news about your friends wife dying too. However, if they were both very elderly, it could be perhaps the best way. If you lose your spouse or partner when you are in your 80's 90's then I wonder whether something in you wants to go as well.

I am just going to look up 'Peggie'. My friend's little dog is called Peggy - a very endearing cross poodle/westie.
looks like Lottie has beaten Biddies United... and now to sort out Gravatar before tea.
Found it. I think.

I have a strange way of sorting my washing. I wash a fortnights worth of Mr LL's pants and socks in one go because I don't like his washing in with my stuff for some reason. A 'peggy' couldn't cope. If it's grotty weather - the whole load only takes about 40 mins in the dryer. In fact even in brilliant weather I tend to bung it in the dryer!!
Thanks jno x
Is a peggy a little thing that hooks over the line and has lots of little pegs on it for socks ect? My old one was stolen from my line with an old (very old) log basket,( no jno the basket wasn't on the line!!) do you remember me telling you about the same time as shaney's wheelie bin went walkabout?. I bought another one but they do not last too long in the sun, so got another (multicoloured, yes I know!) one last week. They cost 3,90€ here.

Poor jude, hope gob is feeling better
Thanks Neti I'm just having a Mard. It's nothing compared to what some of you have to put up with.
Watching Federer on Sky at the moment. In Paris, he's winning of course.
He won. And Murray is through as well.

I've been sorting books and things and I've just found a letter from a friend I used to work with who went to live in Australia in 2001. I t is dated 30th Dec 2001. We email each other now. Wait til I tell her what I've found. It was in a writing case I had cos I was into handwriting letters in those days.
oh, letters, I remember them.

Aerogrammes, even.
