My Mum is 90 years old, in a nursing home, and has now stopped eating and drinking and I have been told she doesn't have long.

How long can she live without drinking or eating?

At my wits end here, I'm so upset and its not even happened yet - its not helping with Christmas coming either :-(

I am sat reading this and crying as my mum is also 90 and we are having terrible trouble getting her to eat and drink. I am scared, she is in a care home and says she will eat when she is ready to, but it is getting less and less. So sorry for your loss yelenots.
pips - sorry for your situation, too.

Ahhh pips - its horrible isn't it? My Mum lost so much weight this last few week and was so very, very frail.

Its now 4am in the morning and I'm sat downstairs with a hot chocolate hoping I can get some sleep as I have been awake most of the night - I thought once she had gone I would of been able to sleep, how wrong was I?

It will get better yelenots. Just go with your feelings right now and try and remember what your Mum would have wanted for you. Xx
Yel...your mum has passed in a loving peaceful manner,be sad she has gone but be pleased too that she did it her way...on her terms ....thinking of you at this difficult time xx
