Will you help a cancer patient/single mom?

I need HELP!! I am a single mom with cancer. I have a pending disability case but no income in the mean time. I am getting evicted from the one bedroom apartment that my child and I share. The engine in my car blew up the other day and now I don't even have transportation to get to my doctors appointments. I need money for food, rent and a Christmas pressent for my child. If you have a car you dont need that runs, that would be great too. Everything I have told you is the truth and I can verify anything you want to know. I know there are people who play on your sympothy to scam you, but thats not me. Please help if you can. Even $5 is more than I have right now. he is on SSi which child support cant touch.. he wont give us anything and never has. my family doesnt have anything to give. I have already asked. no one will help.

another-view makes a valid point there Tina. How can you afford to pay for the internet, etc., if you're in such dire straits?

The money saved from cancelling your subscription/s could help buy food for you & your child.

my next door neighbor who is also my landlord is letting me borrow her laptop and it's her wireless internet that I'm using. You should really try not to be so harsh and jump to conclusions. Listen, I'm very sick and in a very bad situation. There's no need to attack me. Thank You.

Seriously Tonia, here in the UK we do have organisations than can help out in real hardship cases. I don't know anything about the USA but surely there must be someone you can turn to - especially if you have a child. How about your landlord - have they no compassion for you?

apparently my ;amdlord does, because I haven't paid her in 3 months and shes letting me use her computer. She's not in any position to really help me any more than what she is already doing. My electric is included in my rent, so she has been paying for me to have electric and I haven't even been paying her anything. Thank God for her.

answer to 1st question... I am 36 years old and i have stage 3B cervical, uterine, and lymphnode cancer. I have been given 33% chance of survival.

next, thank you for understanding. I just can't ask her for anything else. She has done so much already.

We have a Citizens Advice Bureau which gives free information to people such as yourself. Is there nothing like that in the US. Do you not have any social welfare systems that can help out at all, particularly as you are supporting a child. Where abouts are you in the US.

I am in Florida. One of the worst states to try and get any help. I have recently applied for TANF which stands for temporary assistance for needy families. But they said it could take up to 60 days. You see although I haven't been working because of my illness, I did have someone who was paying my bills and supporting me. I had let my ex-boyfriend come back, because I needed his help. But I realized that my childs and my safety were more important than his paycheck. You see he's very abusive. He drinks a lot and gets violent and verbally abusive. So I think I have told you all my whole story now. I feel like such a failure. If it weren't for my child, I would just crawl in a hole and die.

your family may not have anything to give, but surely they can offer you a place to sleep.

Im so sorry to hear of your illness...You have to go to your local social secruity office and ask for there help,I understand that you have such a place in america,There are people out there who are willing to help and will do what they can for you,Then hopefully you will realise your not on your own although you probably feel like that at the moment..Try and stay positive and that will help you to stay stronger,If you need to talk you can always come on this site theres always someone here to listern..

i do know there is help available at Salvation Army type of thing in USA. But go to your local church maybe they can offer you some guidance if not help.

Please don't think of yourself as a failure Tina. Any of us could have found/find ourselves in your situation.

I am so glad you had the good sense to rid you & your daughter of your abusive partner. I do hope you receive all the medical & financial help you need soon too.
