No not really! I had a wee nap cos i was feeling a bit so so.

Woke up and im feeling horrible!!! Some bachs taken.

Meeting a friend at 230 to help her pick something to wear so thats a distraction....

But im actually quite happy thats the annoying thing!

Grrrrrrrrr ...... Thanks DT - thought i was doing ok xx
Good luck at the doc's tomottow tinks.
It's good your panic attacks don't stop you from going out and hope that you enjoy your afternoon with your friend x

Glad i said id go now MissP cant come quick enough so i can get my mind distracted i suppose... It is good they dont make me stay in though ur right!!

Xx
why not head out early and go and have a cup of coffee or tea.......naps can do that, especially if you are a little under the weather - such as I have had recently with a stinking cold.

Nothing to get worried about, but just mention it to your doc tomorrow - remember, you will get this from time to time, five steps forward, one backwards, just relax about it and make it a tiny step backwards!

Annoying!!!! Have had a good day aswell! Grrrr.

I just kept putting doc off cos i couldt get an app and then felt ok!! Never expected it in the middle of the day...that is a step back :0/

(ill tell myself its a tiny one) ..... I really taked myself out of a big freak out there ...uurgh. Feel rubbish. Just going to get ready to head out. Xxxx thanks guys
some deep breaths, try and see the amusing side, laughter is a great healer, tinks......challenge for you - to report back with something that makes you laugh this afternoon!
Tinkerbell, try not to focus on the panic/anxiety that overwhelmed you for a short time. You are doing so so well at being positive. Good luck at drs xx
Mrs. V used to suffer from anxiety attacks when she was younger. She says the most useful advice she received was 'Try to make yourself feel worse!'
After trying this during subsequent attacks, she realised she wasn't going to feel worse and the panic subsided. It worked for her.....

Thanks all- ill have a nice smoothie when im
Out and enjoy helping my pal....

Ive also made anoter thread i think will keep me busy as its one of those subjects hehe xx
Tinks. Did you know that knitting is now being used to help people with anxiety. Last year, when I was homeless with a broken foot and a mad mother I knitted a huge throw. Keep knitting but nothing complicated. A huge funky throw perhaps.Something you can just pick up and get lost in. It`s calming and theraputic.
Wasn`t homeless and on the street by the way. Just another gness funny tale involving a solicitor, a psychiatrist, a budgie and a cockatoo.

Do you think that you might have attacks when your blood sugar is getting a bit low? Whatever it is, I hope that you find something that ,really helps you soon.
Question Author

Not sure islas- i tried to lay off chocolate etc. cos people suggested mabye too much of it was adding to it- its usually bed time im worst...seems to be "sleepy" times now though when ive had a nap past few times ive felt it :0/

Just back from doctor- seen my usual
One he is really nice- now regular propanolol which was as and when before and only 28pills.....

He also has referred me for councilling- he was asking me what i thought were the causes and questioned me to ensure i wasnt suicidal!!

Told him i have a lovely life and i get annoyed with myself for being like this. He was lovely- said its an irrational fear and its causing my panic.

Roll on the councelling- and seriously thanks for the support xxx
I used to get them and my son still does sometimes if he is under stress. His wife gives him St John's Wort and it workd very well. Otherwise it's the Prozac route isn't it?
Question Author
I asked about at johns wort on here and had mixed reviews! Im happy with the beta blocker ...i want to avoid anti depressants but if need me eventually i cant go on like this xxx
Hi Tinks
Oh how I sympathise! Your anxiety sounds just the same as mine-mainly at night! I too saw my GP yesterday and am now on Propranalol to help with the physical panic symptoms. I am having counselling too (over the phone once a fortnight) and in some ways, it really helps. The idea is to challenge the panicky thoughts and think in a different way-it's a form of CBT.
I do hope that everything goes well for you huns.
Best wishes, Maz xx
Question Author
Nice to see your getting on well mazz! I just picked up my prescription, i didnt know the councelling was available over the phone!

Looking forward to "thrasing it out" with someone professional...i rant on here and to select friends but hate to bog others down....i have one or two other wee issues i suspect may tie in with all this so i hope i can get it all put to bed and finally move on :0D xxx
