hair lightened

My hair seems to have gone a couple shades lighter in this warm weather, has anyone else experienced this? I havent been sunbathing just going about my normal routine

Yes, this always happens to me when it's sunny. But it is the sunshine and not the warmth that does it in my case.

I could understand if i had been sitting in the sun but i havent unfortunately I have been working but today I will be in the sun

Perhaps it is actually your face that has tanned, but the contrast makes it seem that your hair is lighter.

Heat alone won't lighten hair, sunlight can though. You may not think you have been in the sun much but even walking in it for 15 minutes a few times will have an effect.

My hair used to turn a lighter shade of brown and go a bit bronzy when I went on holiday years ago so it isn't impossible.

I havent been sunbathing so my face hasn't changed colour and I drive, have only been outside for max 30 mins combined in past week

Its very common. Sadly for me it just brings out my ginger even more.

Well I suppose the red hair matches well with my nose.

People keep asking if I have dyed my hair. If I dyed it you wouldn't be able to see the grey ones! Lol

My red hair always lightens in the summer but remember Evian....Redheads make beautiful oldies.

My hair is straight LL. Don`t forget we are seeing out hair in different light now too. No grey skies and brilliant sunshine.

Mine goes a bit lighter, but as I'm a highlighted blonde it doesn't show much, but my friend has lovely dark brown hair which starts to turn mid brown in the sunshine which she hates! I think that it looks quite nice, and also see that it doesn't stay lighter for very long!

Might goes lighter too, it has some red in it which comes out more when it's sunny. As others have said, it's the sunshine rather than the heat that does it and I get comments about whether I've lightened my hair. I'm the only one of my immediate family with lighter hair, everyone else has really dark hair.

I don't go out much in hot sun either, don't like it much and try to stay covered up in the shade but inevitable I have to just getting from work and back, at the bus stop, getting to shops etc...
