Same as TonyV, above
My toothache is always caused by letting my face/ears get cold when out walking my dog. So, probably a different pain but it works for me.
Ibuprofen 400mgs every 6 hours if need be.
Aspirin? No, as the anti-inflammatory properties are not as strong as ibuprofen or Paracetamol.
Intermittent paracetamol and Ibuprofen....if you like, but naah! keep things simple in Medicine eh!
Depending on the cause of the toothache, I've found Orajel brilliant in the past, doesn't taste horrible like clove oil either. There is a normal one and extra strength one. I think the extra strength one might have been behind the pharmacy counter when I got it in Boots.
No, I know, but when I had evil toothache, I had no idea that the stuff existed and was very (very very very) grateful when someone told me about it :)
Saved me a lot of pain and from the vileness of clove oil.
Yes Grumpy if you can get appointment and afford it? Although my local hospital will let students (under supervision) treat you for free as they learn their trade, and on way to first Porsche or Mercedes. Lol
Got dentist appointment tomorrow at 10.20. In the meantime thanks for all your answers. I'm on Paracetamol anyway at the moment and will add some Ibuprofen.
Paracetamol, for me. I'd had toothache for over two days a few years ago, (I couldn't see a dentist) so even Ibrobufen wasn't working either so made the silly mistake of having some vodka... a cocktail of which I don't recommend at all! The pain/ache didn't stop but the voyage to trip-out city wasn't worth it.
I do feel so sorry for you and hope you have it fixed soon.
