If you do, have you received a letter from the government or your GP to tell you that you are? Do you know of anyone who has received this type of letter?

Yes, I know a person that has received a "at risk" letter and, I'v registered them on the "at risk" website specified in the letter.

I generally call this person "Dad"

He's 87 and has Chronic Lymphocytic leukemia and a couple of "mild" forms of cancer.

I know several people who have received the letter, one of whom I've known all my life and refer to using the perpendicular pronoun.

Hi Ladybird - I don't quite understand your response to my question. Are you saying that I received the letter because I finished my treatment one year ago and am therefore still in the 'vulnerable' category? In the letter is states that only those currently receiving chemo or having suffered from certain cancers of the blood etc, are 'at risk'. I am not in any of the categories stated in the letter. Very confused.

Chris was saying earlier about his local Co Op, mine has imposed a maximum of 5 customers in at a time, with 2 metre gaps marked with hazard tape on the floor, which everyone is adhering to.

Because it had to be done quickly, some people have recieved a letter they don't need and others have to self-register to get one.
I don't think it is about "how you feel" vagus, but more about actual risks.

If you are in the Extremely Vulnerable group go to www.gov.uk/coronavirus-extremely-vulnerable webpage, you will need your NHS number. Alternatively you can ring 0800 028 8327 to register by phone. It is an automated service, you don't speak to anyone.

If you are not in the EV group the recording will tell you your NHS number has not been recognised.

You can have a box of shopping delivered, there's lots of essentials in it, should keep you going for a while.

I got a letter saying that I am at risk and to shield for 12 weeks. The letter was very important for work as I am classed as a key worker, back up for being off. As much as I'd far rather be able to be in work, and miss it, it is to keep me safe.

I got an email from Asda saying that as I was on the government list I had a priority delivery pass with them which meant I could finally get a home delivery and on a recurring slot.

Still had to wait a while, first one came this morning, four weeks in to isolation, but I'm very grateful for it as I can't go out and I live alone. I've been very lucky having brilliant friends and neighbours who have helped but it's great to now be able to have regular deliveries too.

Some supermarkets are doing "essentials" boxes where you can order it be be delivered quite quickly. You can't pick what is in them but they are an option.

Hello Peter Pedant and thank you - so I was sent the letter in error? My GP seemed to think it was because I received chemo in April last year for stage 1 breast cancer? I am just trying to get to the truth of the matter. I have no other underlying health conditions.

I know I’m in the extremely vulnerable category which means I have to be ‘sheltered ‘ for 13 weeks and not leave the house. No I’ve not received the letter although I rang my Drs surgery and the nurse confirmed the category I’m in and said the letters are sent out in batches and I should get one eventually! Speaking to my GP last week he confirmed it’s 13 weeks house only but my garden is very secluded and he thought it was too stringent to exclude my garden. A friend of mine did receive the letter and it did say only house but you can sit near an opened window.
