Any Menthol Smokers?

Hi all, putting this in B&S because don't want the usual anti-smoking comments I'd get in CB. A genuine request for commiseration and advice. I've smoked menthol cigarettes my whole smoking life and also have zero mental desire to give up. I don't know what to do from Wednesday when menthol are outlawed (within UK ad EU). I don't like the taste of regular cigarettes. Anyone in the same boat, what are you going to do? Any tips for finding a black market supply :-)

I've tried allsorts to quit smoking... gum, patches etc... but never tried the vapour stuff, a little too late to give them ago now I guess.

Not now, no...but would it work sucking a polo while smoking? That's what I used to do. I'm surprised they are stopping these, instead of lights.... or even that they think this will work.

I'm wary of poking anything into my ciggie since my son secretly poked those little exploding things for a cap gun into some of mine.
He later moved onto a water pistol which I had to confiscate.... ;-)

Prudie. Why don't you consider buying them (menthol crystals) and making your own menthol cigarettes in a roll up as they appear to be still available.

Vapes do work, arky. If they helped me, they will help anyone. The patches are brilliant, except most people are allergic to their glue. Champix works for men, but often causes depression for women.

If you haven't got the right attitude to stop smoking you will still smoke even if you're using oxygen. Same thing with losing weight or any other habit, if you don't really want to nothing will help you or make you.

It is not easy, Barry. I have smoked on and off for a few times in my life... mostly not. But it absolutely is not easy to stop.

I am just stunned Gness can get Consulate, that's what I always smoked but haven't seen them in England for years. I'm pretty sure menthol vaping is being outlawed too, as are menthol filters for roll-ups. Gum or polos might help a bit I suppose. I'm sure there will be an underground route as they are not banned outside of the EU.

Amazon might, prudie or Ebay, as they sell from everywhere. But it may be worth trying to get used to "normal" and finding the mint flavour yourself x

From what I have read the ban does not extend to ECigs.

I didn't know they weren't available in the UK, Prudie. Odd that they are here then. I like Superkings.
Isn't this a bit like saying.....alcohol is damaging and we don't want young folk to start drinking so we'll only sell gin? I chose gin because I really dislike it. :-)

Miniciggy are very good and safe. They also do menthol.
