In A Quandary.
My neighbours 16yr old son was in their garden shed this afternoon. He had 2 mates with him and they were smoking weed.
Do I tell his mother?
Say nothing?
Have a word with him?
Have a word with his 18yr old brother.
My worry is I might get repercussions from him; (vandalised property, car or threats to me and my partner.)

Incorrect. My very friendly and helpful neighbours have a son in his early 20s who often smokes the weed in his Pool Room/converted Garage at the bottom of their garden. Been doing it since they rented the house several years ago.
I knew it as well as my wife and son. I was asked one day,by a couple of fencers who were renewing our fencing if I smoked. I told them I gave up roll ups about 15 years ago and asked why. They thought I was on the waccy baccy until I told them where the weed den was and where the smell came from. We had a bit of a giggle.
Fast forward a couple of months and my wife and I went away for a long weekend break leaving our younger Late 30s son at home.
When we got back Sunday night he told us the police were all over the street with a helicopter and dogs making door to door enquiries. My son was told by the police there had been a robbery next door.
It transpired that next oor's son was entertaining his buddy's with puff the magic dragon in the games room when two black men smashed their garden fence panel and menaced them. The lads told the police they had been randomly robbed by passing chancers and watches were stolen.
Truth was it was the dealers paying a visit for lots of money owed. I assume Mum and Dad had words as we no longer smell the weed and I am not accused of using it. 😁. All was well with the parents,I suppose, until they probably had to cough up to the lessee for new fence panels. So kids do mess on their own or rented doorstep.
Athiest just an ordinary cigarette as far as I remember. She was too young to be smoking and also I thought it was dangerous in a bedroom with her siblings' beds also in there. Where was the ash going and where was she going to stub it out etc? The fact the bedroom would stink also annoyed me.
CL the neighbour couldn't help but look into our house same as we couldn't help but look into hers as the road was not very wide. It was this fact that caused me to move and buy a house situated further away from neighbours on the opposite side of an avenue.
Nowadays I look at my garden, some massive trees with lots of animal and bird life going on. Love it.
Daughter has recently given up vaping. Only about 45 years after she started smoking. Never say never.

I get that with Mac, but also happens in word processor and other applications - I think it's possibly a keyboard driver problem with macOS. I'm on High Sierra version 10.13.6. In my case it only happens within a few minutes of start up then clears so I don't bother to report it.
