yeah but no matter how we try and tell ourselves looks aren't important- they are.

Can we all honestly say we'd date a moose because their "inside" was beautiful? I highly doubt it.

I'm not saying that what's inside a person isn't important, in the long run it's what keeps a couple together, but it's looks that initially attract us along with the rest of the animal kingdom.
