Hi Out there...feeling a bit down. Today was my weekly weigh in and have again put on 1 lb. making it a total of 6 pounds in a couple of months. I have doing Rosemary Connely since last Sept and managed to loose 10 kilos.
My doctor had given me pills to help keep my hunger down ( I didn't think they did) but now they have been taken off the market. (can't remember their name)

I am eating the same and exercising every day (am 70 yrs old) so I just wanted some support really. I shall keep on of course but it is so annoying to see numbers going the wrong way.

Hi Wendilla, the reason I did so well last week was because it was before and after a period, hence I lost four pounds (probably just water retention that I lost). But this week I put on a pound and a half, I don't know why. But I'm not giving up hope.
That's the spirit Notafish.I sometimes think I have lost more but as I said I gave myself till end of Oct to lose 2 stone but I will struggle but I will be near it then I have another stone to lose so xmas is my gaol for that.

try weightwatchers i lost 3 stone and my mum in law lost 2 and a half.
the problem is as you lose weight you need to eat less calories or you gain weight again.
weight watchers takes all of this into consideration plus its a really easy diet to follow.
Thanks, I'm going to persevere. It's a pity that some people have left the thread.But I still feel inspired by the ones who are still here.

I agree with you notafish that it is a pity that some seem to have fallen by the wayside, but we do have a faithful few left and that's what counts.

I think I am loosing weight at the moment from high pesperation. The heat and humidity during the day today was unbelievable...not nice at all, but it's getting cooler now.
Hi xstitcher,I have lost three and a half stone just by not taking sugar in tea and coffee and only eating one meal in the evening. Keep at it xx
Hi Chrissie I am sure you are delighted with your weight loss but be very careful eating just one meal a day is not very good for you. The most important meal of the day is breakfast.Over the winter months you may tend to put it back on faster.In saying that what works for one may not work for another but well done.
XSTITCHER I think I will come where you are then to shift this 7lbs before end of Oct. It's raining here but we have been promised a nice weekend ,Yes we had quite a few when we started off but I bet they are still reading this and it might make them feel guilty and come back to us .

will probably put a few pounds on thisweek and next major deadline stuff at work and its junk food keeping uds going and I am at my mothers this w/end but will be back on track in about two weeks....not worried managed before the trick is not to feel guilty and try to over compensate and lose it all in a few days ..

Hello XSTITCHER and Ladies let's see if we can have a good response this Wednesday.Not saying too much but I think I have done ok but I will still carry on if I haven't lost as I am not going to undo what I have achieved this time.This is where many of us go wrong we get a few pounds off and get bored I have done it myself going on boring diets so eat healthily and we will get there .I am not aiming for the little black dress for xmas but I still like to look nice.

I don't think I've done well this week. I put on a pound and a half last week when I was thinking I was doing ok. So goodness knows what the scales will say on Wednesday.

Hi Wendilla and Everyone,

Well tomorrow is the day again. I ate a lot on Sunday even though it was just things like radishes, tomatoes and celery I really went overboard and my conscience is still smarting from it, so if I get a slap from the scales tomorrow then I must admit I deserve it. Onwards and downwards.

Back on plan from today...so egg, bacon, sausage grilled cheese no bread...salad for lunch and stir fry tonight....only lapse an apple as I was out of berries...will stock up in Sainsburys tonight and order my low carb treats from my second fave website...
I have a year approx to get wedding dress sized....it will be a bit of a wenchy design so I don't need to aim too low
I've put on half a pound. I'm not happy :-(.

Hi Not a fish, Don't fret too much my dear, you can loose it with the right spirit and determination. Just admitting you have put it on is half the battle. We are all rooting for your next weigh in even if it is down just a wee bit.
