Have noticed what looks like a boil (size of a 5p) on the front part of pubic area..i have not squeezed it as it just burst in the shower, lots and lots of pus has come out of it and now it wont stop bleeding, there is a massive deep hole in the middle of it, but is has been constantly bleeding now for a good few hours....my concern is will it heal ok and will it leave a horrible scar ? Unsure if its a hair follicle but never had anything like this before...is it worth seeing my GP ? Not sure what the difference is between a boil or absess...

I had an abscess down there once. Thought I was changing sex and OH's boxers were comfy. Ended up getting it drained at the hospital and nurse came in daily to pack it. Pain, paini and more pain.

Purple - just put a dressing on it, lightly, or a sanitary towel over the area, and go and see your practice nurse in the morning. You don't want it reinfecting, and you may need antibiotics. Don't fiddle with it any more, just keep it very clean. I don't suppose you have a walk in centre nearby, that you could go to now?
It could well have been caused by ingrowing hair, not uncommon - but don't mess with it, just keep it clean until you can get clinical advice on it from someone who's seen it.
